Company's today try to push the acceptance of what it costs to get rid of advertising by putting a tremendous low price, so low that everyone thinks they can afford it. Because we as consumers accept this, the price will increase over time and advertising comes into more and more products - so yes, would you favor this, you pay, or do you (like rest of us) that this is too damn and refuses ...

First Fallout I played was Fallout 3 and I really liked it just the humor in the game. I still remember the first meeting with a Robobrain, I died just because I laughed so much. When I later purchased the NW, I was disappointed from the muddled story and got bored because pretty soon. I want to give NW a second chance and would need a list of addons / DLC, what you think I should have to get the correct original experience.

It's not just that nVidia digging his own grave, they dig while the gaming industry's grave. They create needs that allows them to dictate all the rules, in other words, they lock out all competitors - which of course leads to games that have unimaginative story.

Computer games is about to realize all his "wacky" ideas, the diversity of ideas. Unfortunately, the trend today is toward fewer and fewer large companies that create the games and they just want to recoup the money, and wacky ideas will not fit in their world.

This is sad ...

The worst is that they kill large parts of the community when they do not release free tool to make maps, etc. I still remember many of the superb maps to Quake, maps that you never got tired of....

Translation: I want to pretend I'm jaded and indifferent about gaming industry news (even though I post on a site where 90% of the content is gaming news) and seemingly oblivious about this title by reminiscing the "good old days" and making specious observations regarding the perceived new style of the presentation; a snarky comment on how mainstream kids these days are only attracted to violence; regardless of the fact that MP & MP2 were as mainstream as it gets back in the day... and aside the grandiloquent and pompous overwritten style of the narrative, all about violence.

So if I find it sad that many games are similar, it's pompous and wrong? Think rather, it's you who are narrow-minded.
The problem today is that in order to recoup their production costs, they drive the mainstream to be safe than sorry. I loved the first Max Payne, the game stood out then. Now it's just the title of the games they have in common. Yes, that's a generalization but I hope you take my point there? Can tell you I have played the game ever since the early 80's and can tell you that there are not many titles today that attracts me just because they are so damn unimaginative. Imo it's actually possible to make violent games in different ways... Some good examples are STLAKER and Fallout, if you like old school fps so are RtCW, ET and Quake good other examples.

I say this: WG - FIX BUGS IN WOT FIRST BEFORE YOU START A NEW PROJECT!

Still don't understand why they don't fix bugs such; sight that attaches magnetically to ground/things or if you stand near a rock/house and have zoomed in and then zoom out sight point in the opposite direction? I know that WG don't develop the game engine, but they have every opportunity in the world to influence the BigWorld Technology so they fix it. These bugs have been with ever since the beta, and people pointed out it back then and still nothing has happened.

Is it still Remedy Entertainment that develops Max Payne? I don't really recognize the style from the first game in Max Payne 3, all I get is a feeling of GTA when I see the pictures.

First Max Payne had a story with a great sense of darkness in itself, now I just see brutal violence, which I assume is to please the mainstream...? Confused

You're insane. No part of that gameplay looks like GTA. Bullet time and diving? Free look rather than auto-aim snap-on? Rolling?

Looks like Max Payne to me.

Don't stare yourself blind at that, but take and compare the first Max Payne with this and you'll see. The look of the characters is very GTA-ish. I think this is said.

Fun game, but it is pay to win. Better have deep pockets if you intend to play it.

Something that is actually true. It's almost impossible to turn a profit in credits without having premium account, at least if you intend to play with the tanks who got the highest tir's. Even if you play smart you're very dependent on how the rest of the team is playing. I don't know how many times I've been making losses just because someone on my team side is playing with his head under his arm.

I may be picky? But I think Fallout 3 had a better story than NV. Equally so was the DLC's more thoughtful to F3. NV feels so messy and thrown together in haste so you get tired after a while. When you were finished with the story in F3 you could go out on exploring and find hidden things. I like that extra effort from Bethesda Game Studios. It give the game a genuine feeling and it come from their hearts. I miss that in NV

Maybe they can get back to Quake once this Rage stuff is done. If anyone will still care about Quake by then.

Well Doom 4 is their next announced project... I would guess Quake is a likely game for after that.

Hope they go for a proper Wolfenstein after that. Last one from Raven was a joke and shulden't even have been named Wolfenstein at all....

Odd they mention Wolfenstein, id hasn't done anything with that franchise in years, and its just gone to waster, the last one was beyond terrible.
I can't more than agree. The last one wouldn't even have been called Wolfenstein. All it had in common was the name and Wolfenstein-a-like characters. It was more like CoD but in other clothes. The last real was RtCW imo.
Damn if they do the same misstake again and pls leave Raven out this time... Angry

They should finish World of Tanks first... It's been open beta/release for like 1.5 years and they still expect you to be satisfied with grinding thousands of matches in 1 generic game mode.
I certainly agree with you. They should first fix all errors before proceeding to the next project. Then it would not hurt if they gave reasonable descriptions of all the things you can mount on your tank. As it is now there are several things that are similar and you do not know the difference between them...

Tbh I think Fallout 3 is far more funnier and more imaginative than Fallout New Vegas is. The maps are better made, with their habitat and hollow things where things were hidden. Bethesda Softworks clearly managed better than Obsidian Entertainment did with that. And regards all bugs - Fallout New Vegas has just been a big problem for me. Game crash without any reason, even when I uppdated it with patches

I loved when you stood there, looked up towards to the goal and it looked totally impossible to get there.

The problem is distributors such as EA and Activision. Their greed destroys the variety of games and for them it's most important to make as much money as possible and they don't give a ratts ass if we players enjoy their games or not. Remember crazy games like Attack of the Mutant Camels to C64, these games would never become released today and the same is it with Mirrors Edge, EA think the game sold in too few copies and therefore do they not want to go for a sequel. Too bad ...
