I stopped using 'gaming' headphones and switched to some regular, nice Sennheiser cans, mainly because 'gaming' variety ones are too gaudy, bulky, don't sound good, not comfortable, etc. Definitely not going back. I'm kind of surprised Sennheiser didn't really pick up on why people buy nice studio style headphones for all purpose (gaming, music, monitoring) by placing that enormous microphone on that Epos at the end of the video. I would at least hope the audio drivers and pads are good.

Wow I haven't played the original IL-2 in years. I had no idea they were still expanding the new ones with the Moscow one etc., I haven't played the new ones since Dover.

5v5, so sort of like an X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter throwback which was, as everyone knows the "multiplayer" version of those games. Although YES it did have bonus SP missions it did not have a long tour of duty story/fantasy of being an "Ace" Fantasy like X-Wing for Keyan Farlander and TIE Fighter for Maarek Stele.

Gameplay on Thursday, but I'm not finding anything hinting at mechanics of the game yet, except it has VR support and each side tries to destroy the capital ships.

Being a big Star Wars game fan, of course I've been dying for something like this, but at the same time kind of disappointed its not more than 5v5. It would be more epic with bigger battles. And of course there are hints you have to grind to upgrade your ship, which I find highly annoying in MP games these days.

BF2143 would certainly be interesting. Mechs in that engine would certainly be something.

Those loot barrels were definitely a chore in W3. I'm pretty sure I gave up on that and focused on quests to finish the game, but it was a way to least get me to explore and look the environment design that I would have otherwise missed.

I'm going to be a sourpuss about this and assume it won't innovate on: both sides have same weapons (hundreds), vehicles will have an annoying 'level up' progression, limited factions ; but will be a visual spectacle and a successor to 2142.

I don't get people's obsession with 'modern' combat in games or unlock progression for that matter which would have been better left out in this game. Imagine a bfv where the weapons were actually locked to both sides (asymmetrical balance) and weapons/tech only appearing on maps for the correct years. Or more factions, French, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Finnish. Ayssmetrical map balance (invasion of France, french receive Char Bis b1 heavy tanks, Germans only get panzer 2, 38t, 3 (max 37mm), 4 (max 75mm short barrel).

Instead there are hundreds of guns (for some reason that can have Holo sights), very little nation's, no actual year by year showing progression of weapons/vehicles to use. Quantity over Quality.

And very few of those are actually good, because said games treat the Vietnam War with the 'Murica Meant No Harm' nonsense, glossing over the realities of why. Imo, the only one that ever depicted it in a realistic sense, for an SP fare, was the Vietcong game. I certainly don't trust them to create a 'CoD' showing it a realistic/truthful sense, but rather the usual bombastic Michael Bay plotline in video game format.

Try HasFit on youtube, one of the best at home fitness channels I've found. Been following their monthly fitness program for about a year with definite results. Really nice, positive couple that help motivate you while you follow along with what they are doing. All you'll really need are some different weight dumbbells (2 or 3 different weights as you go up in difficulty) and maybe a cowbell.

For those of you with games to play, I suppose now is the best time to do so especially if you're stuck at home. I've transitioned to work at home.

I started Doom 2016 for the first time yesterday and also completed Doom 1, Doom 2, and Final Doom for the first time this year. Doom 2016 seems to play for frantically as far as the combat goes, I was very slow and plodding while playing those older Dooms to conserve health/armor/ammo.
