A 1'st party exclusive is an exception to me. In those cases the storefront is less a store, and more a launcher for a game the store owner put their own resources in to creating. If one chooses to sell their game on the open market, however, then let it be in the open market.
It still amazes me that there's those here who champion this practice which was once associated only with the console market mostly because, from what I can tell, they have a beef with Steam. My store preference is GoG, but at least Steam earned it's place. Technically EGS isn't doing anything wrong, but their practice and lack of resources being put in to the actual store (they couldn't even get their 2FA push done correctly) leaves them in last place in my who I buy from.
