Think I'm good on being ousted as a Mod (appreciate the thoughtfulness though). I'll only be deleting EGS related posts anyways....

I bought Yakuza 0 on Steam and the game locks up when I select the exit option so the only way to leave without rebooting the computer is to use Task Manager to kill the app. Anybody else have this problem?

Not I. I grabbed it on sale recently. Tried it once so far but I was able to exit the game fine. I do remember having a hard time figuring out where the exit game option even was though.

Ubisoft is usually good at portraying how things actually were during the time period they set the AC games in. And then we get this crap.

I think Witcher 3's massive success influenced things for this franchise.

I'd like to know how much time the average person actually spends customizing the appearance of their characters in video games. For the games that have highly intricate appearance customization, how many players actually use it?

Personally, in single player games if the default character isn't ugly I don't even bother with character appearance customization. The extent of my character appearance customization in Cyberpunk 2077 will be clicking through the preset characters to see which one looks the best and then clicking the 'next' button to just get into the game.

The amount of time developers put into building intricate character customization just seems like a huge waste of time. I can't imagine that many players make use of 100 different sliders to adjust ever aspect of a character.

I usually delve pretty deep into the customization options. Players definitely vary between those who care more about game mechanics, vs those who gravitate more towards the immersion factor of games. I slide very much to the latter to the point where I couldn't get in to FF XIV as an MMO, because the day night cycle of a complete day going by in around an hour drove me nuts. To some that's probably absurd, but that's just who I is.

A 1'st party exclusive is an exception to me. In those cases the storefront is less a store, and more a launcher for a game the store owner put their own resources in to creating. If one chooses to sell their game on the open market, however, then let it be in the open market.

It still amazes me that there's those here who champion this practice which was once associated only with the console market mostly because, from what I can tell, they have a beef with Steam. My store preference is GoG, but at least Steam earned it's place. Technically EGS isn't doing anything wrong, but their practice and lack of resources being put in to the actual store (they couldn't even get their 2FA push done correctly) leaves them in last place in my who I buy from.

I read this thread before watching the clip and was suspecting some of possibly being overly sensitive here, but no.. that was a gross example of harassment.

Hopefully using cheats to beat other cheats doesn't end up becoming a fun challenge that catches on.
