Interesting that this is the day before the day Amazon France had listed the PS5 to be released. Hmmmmm
Germany invaded Poland in 1939 and France in 1940. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, which at the time was not a state. The PS5 was made in Japan. Amazon is an American company.

...and today's a Thursday. Hmmmmm.....

I dunno.. most of the early access game I bought were because I had faith the game was going to be something I'd want upon official release. They were really good deals due to being in early access. I then shelved them till release. The Forest comes to mind, also P.A.M.E.L.A.. I bought Minecraft for like 5 bucks because it was minutes after stumbling on one of the first reviews of the game, if not THE first. Pretty much was just some nerdy guy playing it going, 'This has serious potential'.

Of course this means I was being very particular about what i was purchasing. Most recent is Sword and Sorcery.

It's great that your community promotes a peaceful way of life. I have good friends who are active in communities that go about the world in very responsible ways, are community focused and absolutely condone violence. However, they are very very non-religious.

Id prefer more rational communities like the one I mentioned, but at least yours is fighting the good fight as well.

The protests are not advocating violence, looting, etc.. How is anyone going to prevent lawless types from taking advantage of a chaotic situation? And what caused this situation? A long string of black people being murdered by cops on camera. Two by chokeholds, and one reaching for his ID in his own car probably being the most prominent. The recent one simply equated to the last straw, and rightfully so.

What's done is done (anyone committing of a crime needs to be brought to justice however, don't mistake my words for dismissing that), and we need to work on a society where such tensions are not created in the first place. Being angry that someone has a voice right now is not productive. On that note, were you just as angry when a group of armed white militants took control of government property a few years ago? Probably not because they were treated like guests.

Wont hurt them as bad as your political bullshit. We can only make things as fair *as possible*, meaning constant effort. In your example the person not hired for one reason should be able to find work somewhere else if they have the talent. Again not perfect, but not hiring based on talent is ludicrous.

Lets get someone to handle a company's security based on their sexual orientation, great idea! Vs someone's talent no matter their orientation. Much better idea. Meritocracy at it's core doesn't care about skin color, sexual orientation, etc.

I do think something needs to be done to level the playing field in all aspects of life for minorities. I hate that there's a chunk of our society that has to worry about being mistreated (or murdered) by the cops, don't have as many opportunities as the rest of us, etc.. Things need to change, and I'm happy to see that playing out in the present.

I believe the lack of diversity in those credits is a direct indication that some don't have access to the same type of educational opportunities as others (well actually it's far more complicated but for the sake of discussion)...

...but at the same time a meritocracy needs to be maintained otherwise things will end up in the mess the comic industry is in currently. Hiring people based on politics (especially when those people then push their politics into the craft) over talent is a disaster. Meritocracy is only fair when everyone has the same opportunity to excel, however.

Do you get to call yourself a "cult game" if you sell 30M copies and inspire a Netflix series with Henry Cavill?

Maybe if you compare yourself to FIFA...? /shrug

I thought I read once on here that EA Steam games still open the Origin launcher when played. Is that accurate? If so I'll just keep buying on Origin.

Also, dude below me.. enter key. Paragraphs.,

Use to play this with co-workers after hours. Many good memories, like one co-worker suddenly screaming.. to eventually find out other co-worker managed to walk his commander into the middle of her base and detonate.

And yes, the Jeremy Soule soundtrack was the tits.

I doubt anyone here thinks the riots are a celebrational holiday. Yes there's an ugly side to it all, and any victims deserve justice. Just like the one that started all of this. Just looking at specific examples (I've seen just as many examples of protesters being peaceful. One where a group -helped- the cops when a protester brought an automatic weapon), and choosing what to be angry at just bring everything back to the same road that started this mess.

The correct road is to work out one where society doesn't lead to this chaos. There will always be bad people. Whites, black, men, women.. there's no solution to everything. Just better ways of going about things.

And ffs did this spin off onto a tangent in a hurry.
