Been waiting to try this out I liked it on the 360 (dEMOs) but it didn't quite convince me to buy it, however if they are really making use of DX10 to good effect then it may be a good buy to test out anyone's new hardware... I haven't got my new GPU yet though

DX9 version still looks good (of course).

Deux Ex - was a brilliant game, System Shock 2 was a brilliant game, they both had (minor) flaws but overall Deux Ex had less. I would have hoped by now we'd had another "Best PC game ever" (and a couple have come close I suppose) but nothing that surpasses it gameplay wise yet I feel.

Sony... most trusted? Even though they clearly are the least trustworthy when it comes to hype/consoles?

Gotta agree with previous comment, the 'trust' will be for their TV, Stereo and other products. Sony has always been one of the mass consumer "Big Brands" that people assumed were always up to scratch (my failed PS1 and Clapped out old Minidisc player tell me different though).

Sorry, scrub the comment I made about the minigolf game being better than Wii games, I stand corrected. Just played it, it's average at best...

I have a feeling that this upcomming XBLA Minigolf Adventures is going to be more fun than most games on Wii are right now, in all fairness the Wii needs a bit longer yet for some decent games (and more Nintendo First Party titles especially). However it is overhyped by now.

@Parallax Abstraction - The GPU on the 360 is slightly better/more flexible than the one on the PS3, that is what devs are alluding to. And it's pretty undisputable by now (it's been known since BEFORE the ps3 was even released). And not only that but because the system (inc the GPU's and CPU's flexible nature) are far easier to program for, it means devs can spend longer doing more tricks and getting stable performance.

Anyway, A price cut IS needed but more importantly (or just as importantly) the system (PS3) needs some games. It DOES just feel like a cheap/clumsy way to get a blu ray player at the moment and Sony need to remove those 2 barriers (price and games perception) before the thing will sell. They should have had games sorted from Launch bearing in mind how long they delayed the trojan.. sorry, games console.

The lighting is good (for what is slightly older tech now) can't wait for lighting to improve even more though as it's one of the most vital ingredients in believeable scenes.

I'll be playing through S.T.A.L.K.E.R again when I upgrade my PC to almost-top-spec in a few months... (along with Crysis and Bioshock of course if they are out then)

Sam & Max(imum) entertainment, good to see these kinds of games can still have a market/good reception amongst appreciative gamers. And yes, proper episodic content.

Now... new monkey island please

The playing field will never be level in First Person Shooters between Console pad s and WASD/Mouse... the only way to do it would be to nerf the mouse control... which would suck.

Yeah you have to think a bit more than normal, it's not perfect but somehow it's flaws give it an edge that is missing from lots of perfectly polished 'generic' FPS's of the last few years.

It's not quite what I was expecting (after the years of waiting) you can see where certain shortcuts were taking.

However, it's still the most interesting PC game for a long time and well done to the devs for it.
