I am going through a little bit of this with my father at the moment; he just a carotid artery replacement up to his brain stem. He is about as high risk for a stroke as possible at the moment.

Just that is hard enough to deal with. I can't imagine what you are going through right now.

Take as much time away as you need; everyone here understands. This site is meaningless compared to the importance of loved ones.

We are will thinking about you and hoping for best.

I am afraid I don't know what the current plans are at this time.

Thanks for the tip saluk.

There appears to be a bug hurting performance on 7200, possibly 7500 cards. This should be fixed in the first patch. You are correct, the game should definitely be playable at min detail on your system.

No, sorry, I didn't explain it clearly.

I throw my disk at you. You, being smart and holding your disk, hit your right mouse button to block. My disc hits you while your block is up, so it goes into deadly mode -- flying straight in the direction you were looking when you blocked it.

If, while flying straight, it hits me, I die instantly. If it bounces off the ground and then hits me, I take normal damage. After bouncing around a bit, it will return to my, and gameplay goes on as normal.

Same the player blocking AIs discs while in single player -- IF you have a gold Power Block subroutine installed.

The disc block (right mouse button if you didn't change your controls) will cause a blocked disc to become deadly in multiplayer. In single player, it requires the Power Block subroutine.

If you are hit directly by a deflected disk, you die instantly. Once the disk hits any surface though, it goes back into normal damage mode.

I only want to make one note here. I won't get into the HL vs NOLF2 debate, because I am simply too biased, haven't worked closely with both:

As I understand it, a decision made early on in NOLF2 was that stealth should be important. As the game is meant to be more based on stealth in addition to shooting, then next question was how to keep the map interesting. Maps are boring when you go through and kill every AI in them.

AIs in NOLF2 come into the map when you do something to alert people, and will remain unless there isn't anything for them to do. I consider this different that pure respawning -- I feel like this is closer to what MGS did with AIs coming in when you tripped an alarm or when someone saw you than IGN style pure respawning.
