Everything the government touches turns to shit and this will be no exception.

Try and be a bit more reactionary why don't you? Infrastructure, labour laws, foof and drug regulation, etc. - while all are far from perfect, they're a damn sight better than none at all. Or maybe you think life was better before all of that? Yes, I'm sure life was much better under the robber barons and other assorte tyrants.

I'm sure he'd find Somalia a much better place to live. There are no laws to fetter his living. It's freedom. A libertarian paradise. I'm sure he's buying one-way tickets right now.

I'm sure you're heading back to the motherland, Russia. I hear communism is making a huge comeback these days. You can stand in line and wait hours for toilet paper again, just like the good old days.

This is the same government that spent $640 million dollars on a website that took a year to fix.

You sheeple keep putting your blind faith into the government as long as the keep dishing out the the unemployment checks and then move on to disability, welfare, and food stamps when the UI runs out. One day, a lot sooner than you think, those checks are going to stop. Just like Greece and by then they will have stripped you of most the freedoms that you take for granted now.

Here's one I'm not sure I'm right on but I considering the rest of the game I have a sneaking suspicion... bounty hunting in a anarchy system, find a python with a bounty, start to kill him, he warps to a neighboring system to save himself, I scan his trail and follow him to the system but he's not there. There are no other warp trails (FSD for those of us in game), he's not in the system. Just nothing. So now I'm assuming once an NPC warps out, he just de-spawns. Not able to track him down and get the kill. Is this how it works or am I just missing something on this one? If it is, it's just such a frustrating mechanic. I know you can track fellow players but NPCs just disappear?

I have no problem finding ships that warp out. After you make the jump look for a low energy wake (no need to scan it), that's where the ship is

I don't get the hate for businesses trying new things to acquire money. Making money is the point of a business after all. And it's not like they switched their entire business model to this. I see this as an attempt to try something new(however silly it is). It will probably fail, but good on them for giving it a shot.

I should be given everything for free in life!

I guess that I just assumed that most people had a reliable Internet connection these days. I've had mostly reliable service going all the way back to the 80's when I had a 2400 baud dial-up telnet account.

I don't see the big deal either. I mainly play in Solo mode and I don't really care if it's pulling in data from the server now and then. You don't have to deal with other players at all in solo mode.

I read that they have a "Historically Accurate" mode where the French surrender as soon as you draw your weapon.

No... it's if you buy this crappy DLC the next crappy 'new one' is free.

I think I'll pass, egosoft and no I'm not going to give them any credit no matter how many times they keep patching this unpolished turd of a game.

Hmmm maybe the OS needs to be located on C: then? All I know is the game hangs on loading unless a map a virtual c: drive that redirects to my e: drive.

I already know what is causing the initial load screen hangs... Somewhere in the DRM an idiot hardcoded C: drive as the drive that MUST have the game installed.

Everytime I want to play, I have to open to oped the CMD window and type subst C: E:\ to map a virtual C: drive that redirects to my E: drive that contains Win7 and the game. After that it loads and plays just fine.

The steam forums are filled with people reporting that the game does not load or if it does load it's full of random crashes. For me, as soon as I run it, I get a black screen and then it hangs.

The "Official" 'Please post your issues here' thread on steam is over 1,200 posts and it's only been a day. Found here

I bet he also goes to a nice private school. I feel sorry for the kids that have to deal with some of these lazy, tenured blobs of stupidity that are now teaching in public schools.

No, I'm not talking about all public school teachers... I'm sure you've already come across the ones I'm referring to.
