The New McDonalds Angus burger is surprisingly damned good.

I tried an Angus Burger & found it to be just a mouthful of bun, "meat" and lots of raw onion.
Neddless to say there was a lot of turbulence to be experienced if you walked behind me for a couple of hours after.
This reinforced my belief that they did indeed misspell "Angus" on naming it.

Earthquake update.
The cbd here is still for the most part cordoned off and many people not allowed back into work places.
Many of the old brick buildings and a number of historical ones are in the process of being demolished.
There have been over 250 aftershocks, some significant quakes in their own right, which is frustrating as buildings structurally checked out and passed have to be re-checked.
To give you a graphic idea of how the aftershocks have played out since the 7.1 this website illustrates it best.

Very sad, but what a brave selfless act to counter such a dumb arse one from the on coming vehicle.

The footage of the hawks in flight was incredible.

Through the Winter here I noticed Sea gulls would fly up & down the main roads at peak hour circling for lift they gained from the hot engines of the idling cars.
Theres no question they were having fun, & no doubt enjoying the warmth.

No question, and these are really smart well adjusted kids.
The critics of gaming though would never acknowledge it.
Fantastic to watch the prediction placement of the rockets & the understanding of what health he has & is looking for ... shit .... amazing.

Glad your are ok - its a miracle that no lives were lost in such a close-origin 7.1 quake - Damages appear to be vast though.. does Insurance pay anything?

Sure Private insurance as well as a national earthquake fund apparently up to $100.000 nz dollars each if needed to those affected.
Total cost of quake & rough numbers being thrown around at the moment are anything up to 2 billion nz plus. Large part of that roads and underground infrastructure.

Now that were 35 hours on some of you might be interested in these photos of the earthquake aftermath in my city.

They tell it better than anything I've read or seen to date.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/4095395/7-1-earthquake-photos

7.1 magnitude & remarkably no lives lost, still getting some good jolts.

Photo 41 & 42 show the hills that surround the city, these are the hills we fly our rc gliders & motorized wings off.

Holy shit we just got hit with a 7.4 earth quake 4.30am.
I barely made it from the house which twisted like a fun ride.
Everyone safe, just been into work thinking it would be a mess but amazingly things that would have made the mother of all messes stayed put & fallen things of no concern. Power and buildings down in the centre of town, anything old brick in the city just fell into the street.
Update
Getting some good kicks as aftershocks, monitor bouncing round as I type.

September! Where the fuck has 2010 gone? At least nasty assed summer is almost over. (Except for poor Hoop, that I think lives in the underworld.)

I didn't' realize we had a 3 day weekend until a couple of days ago. Got a nice stack of games to get through (minecraft minecraft minecraft!), lookin forward to it.

Yes indeed!
Spring is starting to break out all over these parts.
Daylight saving in 3 weeks.
I know our Winters are'nt as bad as parts of the States, we don't get snow as such, and I suspect the Summer temperatures are'nt as high either on average.

I have been doing alot of driving in the snow though.....if you count Mafia2
Most beautifully realised environment in gaming to date. imho
