I would laugh if every OOTB this summer consisted of delay updates on the AC unit being delivered.
"Well day 5 now still no sign of ......swamp crotch starting to play up .....

The frustrating part about Prometheus is that all of the other pieces were there to make a sci-fi masterpiece and by all rights it should have been. Decent enough actors, great set design, awesome CGI, great directing overall but the script was complete dogshit and brought down the rest of the movie.
I just watch Prometheus for the first time last night, had heard your same complaint from many others but ended up loving it, kinda filled in all the blanks for me.
Only issue i had was right at the end, Spoilers should'nt the engineer driver of the ship they brought down have died sitting in his seat for the next lot to find? He ended up going after the girl in the escape pod. ?

The World At War is a fascinating (though sometimes horrific) doc, that's highly recommended, if you've not seen it. It's something like 25 hours long, with each hour episode covering a certain topic. Has a ton of footage, and since it was originally done in the 70s (I believe) lots of interviews with people that were there.

Yeah seen pretty much every decent thing made.
World @ War was narrated by Laurence Olivier if I remember rightly.

Watched a very good doco with inteviews from vets of Omaha & Utah beaches, they are still very pissed with the other forces of the day. It's weird but you heard little anger at the axis forces slaughtering them on the beaches, but man they gave it to their own navy & air force.
Promised plenty of support & bomb craters on the beaches to bug down & get cover from. The Air force was late for a last bombing run as the landing craft had left so dropped them 3 miles inland.
Were always boasting of precsion bombing of the day.

I thought you called pizza a pie?
Should'nt this be his first slice of pie?
The only cheese to grace a real pizza is mozzarella.

We have some of the purest tap drinking water in the world.

Cannot imagine buying drinking water.
At this time of year in the colder months with the pipes cold it's just like snow fed river water in the high country.
Will be here this long weekend holiday on Monday.

Just got back from Trek - really enjoyed it. If you liked the last one, I can't see you not liking this one.

You can thank me for keeping your expectations in check.
What did you like most?

Star trek ITD thoughts.
It really could'nt match the surprise of the first fresh facelift of the orginal series however enough twists in the plot to suprise.
I was worried about the Cumberbatch casting as he's just so overexposed at the moment & not all of it great but he just makes you believe.
So all in all a more dynamic plot than The Avengers & just great to traverse the decks of the Enterprise in 3d.

Hmmm, not exactly a glowing review, Hoop.
I guess I went in with too much expectation from the first but believe me it was still much better than some pretty brilliant marvel franchises imo. As I said loved the 3d & how they used it viscerally to demonstrate the vast scale & speeds involved this time round.
