Yeah, apart from the games they only need to port the Adobe Creative Suite and Outlook (unfortunately) and Visual Studio and I'm good to go! No? Oh.

I should have made myself clearer, sorry for that. No need to be upset. I wasn't referring to whether or not obesity is bad.

I was referring to your anecdotal evidence regarding your smoking relative who lived until old age, and the other relative who led a healthy life and still died young. Your conclusion seemed to be that lifestyle does not matter greatly in regard to longevity, and randomness dictates who dies and who doesn't.

Which can seem true on an individual basis, but is most definitely untrue when you look at the statistics over the population as a whole. Not smoking raises your average life expectancy and overall health expectancy significantly. Not being obese too. Which you actually are saying too, funnily enough.

Or, short version: Anecdotal evidence is not evidence.

I am really sorry to hear about your loss, Blue.

And Cutter (#18), you should read up a little on statistics sometimes. It might help to clear up your somewhat muddled view of the world and how it functions.

I am a bit sorry to see that the animations are still a bit robotic with little feeling of weight or inertia when they run etc. The unrealistic soldier animations (turning on the spot without moving their feet sometimes) is what turned me off ArmA, it looked too much like the original OFP (which I loved, but not for its graphics).

I think they should invest more in animations and physics than in making 300-million-polygon vehicles.

I recently played through System Shock 2 with the new model and texture mods. It was excellent. I enjoyed it far more than BioShock.

If someone could make a hi-res version of Terra Nova I would buy it in an instant. Hell, I'd probably even buy even with its original 320x400 "high resolution mode".

But did you complete the game that way? I found that almost impossible since the enemy ship didn't have to drive slowly in shallow water.

Totally agree on both Carrier Command and Terra Nova.

But what about Stunt Car Racer? The remake was announced some years ago but it seems like it fizzled before going gold. Pity.

Did anyone actually complete Carrier Command the way it was supposed to be played? I tried and tried, but never succeeded.

Then I discovered the winning tactic: Locating the enemy ship and kamikaze-ing it with two or three airplanes fully loaded with bombs. Worked like a charm every time.
