Yeah, the old recliner in front of the TV will work just fine for me. If they do some sort of flyover Kauffman Stadium, I can usually see the plane make an approach over the neighborhood from my yard. Then it's back to the recliner.

I'm guessing Nolan has a few twists and surprises in store that will ultimately make people see the movie in a much different light. The studio wants to build up as much hype as possible, but of course Nolan has to balance that with not making the trailer be a total cliffs notes version of the movie.
It's a Nolan film. I think he's probably a bit overrated, but I almost always enjoy his films. The Dark Knight and Inception are classics. And Nolan makes some of the more interesting original IP. Even though I have some issues with the premise of the movie I'm looking forward to it.
OK, you guys have convinced me to move it off the Redbox list and keep an open mind.

I spent my real world career inside public health at the state level and watched it rot from the inside. The powers that be decided long ago to do away with quarantine (it is so mean and unfair). And our hands were being tied tighter and tighter when it came to enforcing all things regulatory.
I heard on the local news they were handing out earplugs, but I didn't catch they only had enough for half the fans. Oh well, at least half are usually so plastered they wouldn't have worn them anyway.
The town has switched gears to baseball today, the Royals have their Wildcard game tonight against a team that once called KC home - the Oakland Athletics. I have completely forgotten how I set up my mouse for games like QuakeWorld, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, one of my best friends convinced me to buy a PS3 and I haven't played a PC shooter since. I feel so dirty....

Interesting to see this since this week I am switching from AT&T broadband and phone to Comcast after staying with AT&T since they first brought broadband DSL into Independence, Missouri. Why the switch? I pay about $63.50 a month for 6 Mbps Uverse internet and local phone. Comcast will give me 50 Mbps plus port my phone number with unlimited Nationwide calling for $40 a month the first year, and $60 a month the second year. I avoided the $8 a month modem/router charge by buying my own unit for $85.
Google fiber is not planning on coming into my part of the KC metro, so this is my best option at the moment.

Blue thank you for featuring astronomy-related topics. However, I feel the Supermoon hype is largely just that - hype. Also wanted to point out meteor is the proper term for the streaks in the sky, if they survive (most don't) those that land on Earth are then called meteorites.

The one thing that jumped out at me from the article was in a screen shot of the instructions from Weyland-Yutani - I've seen that computer screen every time I watched the movie and never noticed they screwed up in using "insure return of organism" when it should have read "ensure return of organism".

It's weird I just re-watched Thunderdome twice about two weeks ago, then this trailer appears. Just don't know about Mad Max without Mel.

It has been interesting watching the local TV news wring it's hands over the delays Schlitterbahn has experienced in opening this slide. Seems prudent to me, test, adjust, test. Would I go down it?
