NMS: 558 players on average over the past month, per Steam stats. Sad for a game that peaked at 212321.

Guess I was one of those 558. Hadn't played in a while, but decided it was time to leave Euclid, so last week I jumped to the center and emerged in the Hilbert Dimension. But that about does it for me unless they release more content. Still seems odd Hello Games thought the payoff for reaching the big goal of getting to the center should be restarting in an identical system with a new name. Idea

I actually liked Prometheus way better since all I wanted to see was a Space Jockey and more mysteries and that's what I got out of it.

This is what I don't understand. They left with wanting to go to the Founders homeworld. Wtf happened to that? Now that could have been interesting.

I am hoping the director's cut on Blu-Ray may add something more as it did with Prometheus. I agree that this movie should have dealt more with the Engineer's homeworld called "Paradise". What we saw in this film didn't appear to me to be that. The inhabitants of this planet only looked "engineer-like". There was speculation of two factions of the Engineers - the Creators, and the Destroyers. Ridley seemed focused on evolving the proto-xenomorphs into the Alien xenomorph. I don't really care much about that. And I really didn't need to see more face huggers, chest busters, or back busters. And the whole "I'm in charge but nobody respects me" angst of the schlub in charge was tedious.

How about Far Cry 6 being centered around a greedy game company headquarters. Your mission is to stop them from gutting the public through cash grabbing pre-orders, season passes, microtransaction swag... Rotfl

As someone who is actually in the "Heartland" I consider Montana as being in the "West". I guess the coast snowflakes (not you Blue of course) consider everything not on the coasts as "Heartland". Protest

Re: CDC warns about parasites, toxic gas at public pools.

This is the second story I've seen in the past few days about crypto in pools that correctly states chlorine will not take care of this organism. But none have stated what will, better filtration that achieves absolute 1 micron filtration. It is easier/cheaper to throw more chlorine at the problem than to upgrade a filtration system.

Uh maybe because the target demographic for these shows is 95% white male. I really have zero interest in watching shows with a liberal agenda of inclusivity where every other character has to be a multi-racial pansexual quasi-dwarf.

What Cutter just said... Thumbsup

What are the chances this is another escapee from Plum Island? I'm beginning to think Oak Mites might fall into that category as well. Zombie

So is this a precious metal year? Is there a standardized list of what anniversary year demands a certain type of gift? Or is that another gimmick invented by jewelry companies?

I'm still waiting on a movie to flesh out the history of the Sith, and the Emperor's origins.

Is that too much to ask?

The most deserving titles are IMO Windows Solitaire and Donkey Kong. All those new games can go and wait another decade or two.

Along that line some of the early work by Ozark Softscape and Dan Bunten should already be in there - M.U.L.E.

I'm going to make a rare exception to my rule not to enter political discussions. But when it invades water-bear space that's it...

People keep falling for the dems vs repubs shell game. It is all about entrenched Washington DC culture vs the rest of the country. The actions of these hypocrite republicans who voted over and over to repeal the ACA when they knew a veto was assured proves it. If congress was put under the ACA you'd see them singing a different tune. If the ACA is good enough for the rest of the country why should congress be exempt?

The folks glibly suggesting impeachment remind me way too much of the folks who ignited the Civil War following the election of Lincoln. We do NOT want to repeat that horror.
