Played BC, BC2, BF3, and BF4, but that's where they left me - every DICE release since then has been a no-go for me. It is way past time they got back to BC3, or even 2143.

Now I say this as someone who still plays this...yesterday I played and it was early access, today it is "released" but it looks/plays exactly the same.

Maybe the sale will bring in some new blood.

Downloaded the update this morning on my PS4. Got in the game saw a few of the new additions, then teleported back to my base, stepped out the front door and through the ground into limbo. I think I'll shelve this again until they patch the new update. Annoyed

So glowing round chest power core? Why would you advertise where the power core is? I thought this was the next Iron Man. So confusing, or is it amusing - ripoff?

Re: 'Stargate' revival will launch a new MGM streaming service.

Must just be me, but going back to the time they dug up the gate in Egypt and basing a show on that seems dull. They didn't know what they had for decades. So we will be treated to show after show of the gate sitting there lifeless? Huh

Re: Amazon Prime Day breaks record; sales grew by more than 60 percent

I have to agree with Cutter on this one. I have looked at what was offered on the last two Prime Day sales and saw nothing worth all the free hype the media gives this. Not sure anyone risks life and limb for Prime Day like they do Black Friday. But you won't be rewarded for all the lost time you spend browsing through the pages of crapola. Computer

I use the harmonica riff from Once Upon a Time in the West as my cell ring tone. I have yet to hear that on any other phone.

I remember going to the theater to see Blade Runner shortly after it opened in 1982. We were so starved for serious science fiction movies then. All we had prior to this was 2001 and Alien (I might put Empire Strikes Back in there). 35 years ago? Man I am feeling old.

Holy shitballs that's an insane shot. 10 seconds to reach the target? Guy must have been sitting down or something. I love how they mention the US would have just dropped a bomb and killed all the civies in the area as well, lol, so true.

Before reading this my thought (jokingly) was he must have taken the curvature of the Earth into account. Then I read at that distance they do! Sneaky

Re: E3 2017: Video-game industry optimistic, cautious about U.S. political climate, trade group leader says.

Quote from above referenced story: "Like other technology-industry trade groups, the ESA weighed in against the Trump administration’s travel ban, since suspended by the courts, that was applied to citizens of several Muslim-majority countries.

“It was a bad approach, bad idea, bad delivery,” Gallagher said."

Best focus on your business, I fail to see how the travel ban impacts the game industry. Unless your are working on Grand Theft Jihad.

NMS: 558 players on average over the past month, per Steam stats. Sad for a game that peaked at 212321.

Guess I was one of those 558. Hadn't played in a while, but decided it was time to leave Euclid, so last week I jumped to the center and emerged in the Hilbert Dimension. But that about does it for me unless they release more content. Still seems odd Hello Games thought the payoff for reaching the big goal of getting to the center should be restarting in an identical system with a new name. Idea

I actually liked Prometheus way better since all I wanted to see was a Space Jockey and more mysteries and that's what I got out of it.

This is what I don't understand. They left with wanting to go to the Founders homeworld. Wtf happened to that? Now that could have been interesting.

I am hoping the director's cut on Blu-Ray may add something more as it did with Prometheus. I agree that this movie should have dealt more with the Engineer's homeworld called "Paradise". What we saw in this film didn't appear to me to be that. The inhabitants of this planet only looked "engineer-like". There was speculation of two factions of the Engineers - the Creators, and the Destroyers. Ridley seemed focused on evolving the proto-xenomorphs into the Alien xenomorph. I don't really care much about that. And I really didn't need to see more face huggers, chest busters, or back busters. And the whole "I'm in charge but nobody respects me" angst of the schlub in charge was tedious.
