I've always been pro MS myself. However, most of my experiences with MS products and services recently have me seeking alternatives.
I've always been of the opinion that if Linux ever got around to matching the applications compatability of Windows, along with the ease of use, it would probably be suffering the same bloated shit that Windows suffers now. But, like nin said, you really get sick to friggin' death of being treated like a thief. I'm also sick of paying for gold and getting dogshit.
Their Genuine Advantage website has issues with x64 Windows, so it'll sometimes give me something and other times tell me my software is pirated. Using the form offered when it decides your software isn't genuine, you eventually get an email from Microsoft in your country wanting to help you get a legitimate copy, along with wanting you to help them nail who sold you the copy you have.
If some asswipe sold me a pirated copy of Windows, I'd be all for helping MS get them. Hell! I'd even pay for that! However, the email I got from them contained so many spelling, formatting and grammatical errors you'd think I'd written it. My immediate thought was that it was spam pretending to be from Microsoft, so I called the supplied number and sure enough.... it was Microsoft here. Oh, and my copy was genuine.
But these are the hoops I get to jump through, so they can hopefully get the real thieves. And that's just Windows.
