I'd personally go with an 'E'

If PS3 makes Christmas, which apparently it won't, then more than likely the kids would be harking for it and I'd be an 'A' if that's what it took to procure one.

Still hate our 360 with a passion, but they seem to have done some update to speed up load times, so I'm liking it a tad more. Live still has a few too many flaws, too... but I've forgiven those for Galaga, Time Pilot and Scramble. Rather sad when you consider what the console itself costs, plus Live Gold, and you could play all those games on the first Atari, I think. Well, not so sure about Time Pilot and Galaga may have been a Colecovision exclusive but any old clacker would do them proud.

EA getting rid of DICE employees is a bit like that old Carpenters song, really.... We've only just begun;P

DICE would be a natural developer for the next Star Trek FPS now they've had firsthand experience of being assimilated.

Certainly looks interesting enough. I like the period art style. Reminds me of some old film I can't quite recall.

I haven't watched this video but they could be doing again with the chopper like they did with HL2. You met him twice before you got to kill him..... think the first time you didn't have any weapons, the second time was just after the Vortigaunt pimped your ride with the same cannon they have. Then the bastard runs off and you don't get to smite him until just before Ely's place.

I've always been pro MS myself. However, most of my experiences with MS products and services recently have me seeking alternatives.

I've always been of the opinion that if Linux ever got around to matching the applications compatability of Windows, along with the ease of use, it would probably be suffering the same bloated shit that Windows suffers now. But, like nin said, you really get sick to friggin' death of being treated like a thief. I'm also sick of paying for gold and getting dogshit.

Their Genuine Advantage website has issues with x64 Windows, so it'll sometimes give me something and other times tell me my software is pirated. Using the form offered when it decides your software isn't genuine, you eventually get an email from Microsoft in your country wanting to help you get a legitimate copy, along with wanting you to help them nail who sold you the copy you have.

If some asswipe sold me a pirated copy of Windows, I'd be all for helping MS get them. Hell! I'd even pay for that! However, the email I got from them contained so many spelling, formatting and grammatical errors you'd think I'd written it. My immediate thought was that it was spam pretending to be from Microsoft, so I called the supplied number and sure enough.... it was Microsoft here. Oh, and my copy was genuine.

But these are the hoops I get to jump through, so they can hopefully get the real thieves. And that's just Windows.

I have no clue whether I'm even close to being on the right track, but where and when that video skips, you also miss part of that flying thing coming in. One moment you can see its tail rotor to the extreme right, next it's halfway across the bridge and someone seems to be finishing off the wold 'hopeless'. I just assumed they'd edited out a plot spoiler line.

I think a better bold move would have been to do as Cadillac did and have Bizzare toss some extra cars in PGR3.

Probably a good thing you have no say in what I spend money on as, apparently, you would have me paying for something I don't need to;P

Also, just like in the PC world. If you don't have internet access, you can get game patches on magazines and the like. Also, MS offer up patch discs.

There's plenty to piss on Microsoft about without manufacturing falsehoods.

I can't speak for every game on the 360, but when any of the games we've got are patched, you get the patch free, as one would expect. Extra content often, not always, does cost extra. I've paid for extra content, other than Live Arcade stuff a couple of times now and have been well pleased with it.

I've had Q4 since it came out and enjoyed the SP portion, although I wasn't blown away by it. It was nice and playable, as things by Raven tend to be.

As for bots... no offline bots has been the reason I've never touched this since completing the SP. As for bots offering no form of training, that a matter of opinion. Due to lack of broadband here, I played Q3A soley against bots for longer than I'd care to admit. By the time I got broadband, I jumped online and rarely ranked any worse than top 3.

I view these things like MS FreeCell with better graphics. I don't always want to find servers and play skilled or potential cheaters. I just want to load something quickly and start shooting anything that moves. Q3A and UT2K4 have that still, but as much as I love UT2K4, it's still like playing in a bowl of custard compared to Quake. I'd like to have seen offline bots for Q4.

Once upon a time... I think it was around the time of the Pentium 2 333Mhz, Microsoft did't go as far as you're thinking, but they were on the right track. They allowed you to have control of a webcamera and you could steer it where you wanted it to go during a fashion show catwalk event.

Not sure it was all that much of a success, most people did what I did and instantly headed for the change rooms looking for Claudia.

However, back then broadband here was indeed rare and webcamera's were crud. Things have improved enough, I'd think, that they'd have to be considering another stroll down this path for some cool events. Would have been much, much better than that crap they did for us 360 owners for E3.

True...

I think Quake 4 was a mistake..... I think id and Raven got together for a major pissup and by the 5th round, started believing each other's bullshit and decided to make Q4 for the sake of having at least something else using the DooM3 tech.

Still, Quake, Quake 2 and Quake 3 sold a few copies and all contained MP and id has never been super backward in coming forward to fix bugs in their games. Dice and EA....

There are a few ways to look at this.....

Quake unproven?....
Splash Damage unproven?....
id?....

If more people haven't heard of id and Quake, than the BF series, I will give up.

I have to admit I haven't looked lately, but I've not seen anything about them adding the Mini to PGR3. I think they should add lots of extra cars into PGR3, actually. AMG Mercs, SRT Dodge and Chryslers, BMW M's and where the hell did the Carrera GT go from PGR2?.... Same place as the Mini's, I guess:|

I nuked 400 points on that Speed Pack, which was about $8.25 AUD, I think. I'd happily pay that, per group, for the above selections. Give me some of the old muscle cars, too. One Mustang isn't rocking my boat. I want the 69' Boss 429 and 302, Plymouth T/A's and anything with the old 426 would make me a happy camper indeed.

And with what I'm paying for this Gold Membership, I want these Arcade games for free, not the damn demo's.

Edit: Forgot the entire reason I first felt the need to post;P

I'll have to take your word for it as, personally, I've not had the time nor inclination to watch elderly shagging.

Not that I'm suggesting in any way it wouldn't be something to see, mind....

I think some find this game a difficult concept. These same people probably assume ships float of their own accord and don't roll over and play dead in port of their own accord. I know I used to think that. Definitely not my cup of tea, but I think it's got every bit as much potential in gameplay as MS FlightSim games, providing the same attention to detail has been made.

I'd already read that article and thought the screenshots looked fairly bleh..... Then again, none of the screenshots ever did DooM3 or Quake4 justice, either. The couple of video's I've bothered watching for this game look damn good.
