Unless you have absolutely nothing better to do.... and bandwidth to spare, this trailer is a waste of time.

6 seconds of footage.... and you don't see much, although what you do see looks pretty good and it's nice to know they intend releasing a 'real' trailer on the 15th.

To be fair to both Blue and Ritual.... Stevie has some good boobs, so it stands to reason Ritual would have had her working there if at all possible....

This guy truly does need to start thinking about what 3DR is doing and not what id and Valve do.

I don't recall how big it was, but the game that actually got me buying a PC so I could play it was Strike Commander.

Ahh, the big decisions..... two aim 120's... sidewinders, or do I actually attempt to complete the mission and load up those funky durandal runway bombs and risk being shotdown myself once I run out of missiles. And the cutscenes were awesome, too. For the day.

When 360 was launched, I'm fairly sure it could download in the background, but it wouldn't let you queue or know where the feck it was once you'd exited the download screen, which was pretty feckin stupid.

Still, I don't want to distract anyone from kicking Microsoft, because someone should burn for some of the Live service design decisions, if nothing else.

Not sure about anywhere else, but in Australia they give Silver Membership users something like a free weekend a month to play against others online. Still, that may or may not require a HD or Mem unit.

We got the 360 with all the dodads, so I'm not totally sure... but I'd bet anything, including nads, you could buy some accessory that will allow the core system to go online and use Live.

I think this game certification is a bunch of shit now anyway. Whether anyone deals with it any better than MS is yet to be seen. For fuck sakes, they're patching arcade games as well... How brutally could they fuck up Galaga in the porting process?....

I should, however, point out our 360 gets a lot of use and it's yet to present a problem. Although from all I've read, I'm pleased we took the extended warranty with it.

Can't wait for Wii, though!... I may have to give in and buy an EA game, cause I'm kinda into the idea of that controller and NFL2007...

There is an area on Amazon about shipping details and it lists items that can and can't be sent to different places. I wanted one of those stupid Creative Music Keyboards for the kids once and Amazon said it couldn't be sent because the warranty wouldn't cover it out here. Have a look around their site and if all else fails, email and ask.

For $100 you couldn't go wrong. Throw in $1.00 next day shipping and you'd be feeling like Xmas had come.

Next thing id release themselves is a new I.P.

They're just consulting on this, not making it, unless something has changed drastically in the last few months.

I'm not going to bother checking my facts on this one, cause no doubt someone would and could argue it either way.... but I think most games are made for fun and entertainment, which I'll freely admit includes people;P...

However, like the Beamer, I prefer bots with most games. While I don't give a shit about CS, although I do have it on here, I typically play Quake 3 against bots. It's like playing MS Freecell.... doesn't take any time to set up, my machine these days runs it with all the ease of Freecell and, ultimately, I just want to kill a few minutes shooting something before reality requires me elsewhere. So, I get my fun, which is what I want. I also get it faster than I could get any game online.

Whether you come across cheaters or dickheads, there's plenty to put some people off online gaming. There's also the simple fact some of us just can't be bothered with it. So what.

I'm PC Games first and foremost.... but I've become quite the PGR3 addict on the 360, not to mention an almighty god of Galaga and DigDug;P

I still hate some of the design decisions MS made for Live... but overall I'm considering it a good purchase.

I pre-ordered Gears of War today for myself and the Wii for the kids for Xmas.... None of the Nintendo games appeal to me, but I can see us having a lot of fun with those sports games with that controller and fun is the aim of the game... I think Nintendo have kicked a goal with this system.

Sure, I have nothing against Billy G tossing any unwanted cash my way.... still, as far as this article is concerned, it would be best if they just banned idiots like that from breeding and that would save a lot of emissions, too....

Can already buy them here in Australia, apparently... just waiting to be able to sneak out one weekend to kill the $150.00 it costs.... still, just a Wireless Controller is like $60.00, so doesn't seem to bad for a Wireless FF Wheel.

I think we need a moratorium on the reminding us all of that Escort the Idiots level of Ep1.

These guys fought the Combine for years!... These guys procured weapons to arm up entire Armies of, near enough, replicants and, yet, these dumbass pricks can't cross the road to find the fooking train?!?

I had to escort Labcoat Scientists back to use the Retinal Scanners in Half Life. I had to single handedly climb through a duct and take on five Covert Ops guys who were talented enough to go after me, yet never checked behind door 3 for the wounded Engineer I needed to find so I may then have the thrill of escorting the Medic to him in OpFor. In Half Life 2, for a complete change of pace, Dog escorted me twice and directed me once. I also escorted and directed the Ant Lions.

I finally see it all clearly. Valve don't care about videogames at all. They're working on subliminal avdertising for Escort Services. Soon as I get stuck with having to escort someone, I shoot them in the hope life goes on without them.... and even then, Valve gives them a direct ricochet back at you shield so you die, too.

For all this, I love their games. But their idea of doling out valuable information and release dates to the fans is just hopeless.

Well, jeeez.... whodathunkit possible?

Anyone who read that interview with Valve the other day about multi core cpu's immediately knew there was no hope. Soon as they stated they intended adding multi core cpu functionality for Ep2, it was time to let go of the pipe and the dream.... And for those who still had a smidgen of hope, it HAD to have been dashed when they said... oh, and we're going to demo it out first like with they did with HDR and Lost Coast.

If I could find a betting agency willing to gamlble, I'd bet on EA topping Customer Satisfaction ratings over Ep3 making an 07 release schedule. I'd probably take an educated guess and bet on Ep2 not making 07. At this point, I wouldn't rule out an each way favoring Id's next title and DNF, either.;p

Come on Ritual. Prove you've got more of clue and give me SIN Ep2 sometime soon.

We got the 360 soon as it was available here. I've not used it a hell of a lot myself, but it gets used a lot.

My only real complaints have been with A) the live service. Some of it's great. Some of the ideas used within it are plainly stupid. B) other than arcade titles, the only game I ever play is PGR3 and the load times 'were' staggeringly bad, but they've improved.

The 360 may run hot.... the cabinet remains open the entire time it's in use and a couple of times I've even pointed a housefan at it, but it continues to give us no trouble.

As for MS introducing bugs to console games. I had the same thoughts myself with the 360. I think MS were a lot more strict about getting games right when they did the first Xbox. Still, they patch old games to work on the 360.... then again, it should have been backwards compatible from the start in my opinion, they add some cool additions you can get and then there's the old arcade classics. And plenty of other consoles prior to Xbox offered games with bugs.... it just seems a little more obvious this time, cause now you know there was a bug when you see it's being updated upon log in.

Anyways, that's enough pro MS for one day.... goes against my natural bent since experiencing Live.

Wolfenstein ET, by many accounts, most reviews and my own playing was a shitload of fun. Oddly enough, it was also free of charge and even more oddly, really, from all that I've ever read had much better support than anything EA/DICE.

Think what you like about ID gameplay, everyone has their opinions and you're welcome to yours. One of the things I do like about ID is that their apparent idiot game designers are somewhat competent programmers and when a bug rears it's ugly head, they tend to fix it. EA has stated they have no intention of fixing some bugs in some games because the next version is more important to them. I find that simply unconscionable.

EA have told you they don't give a shit about you or your gaming experience. And their business is publishing games....

EDIT: Forever meaning to type 'Their' and doing 'They're' instead.

I agree. This is still one my fave games. I think it could have been a lot more, but it was still about the best of the Q3 engined games imo. Fantastic 3rd person controls meant you didn't have to stray far from the normal FPS. And graphically, for the time, it was beautiful.

I found the last boss to be reasonably easy. That boss in the swamp with the fence around him and he'd pop up with the eye. Now he was fecking impossible. Whoever thought that boss up should suffer the fleas of a thousand camels infesting their armpits.

Also, now I've played SIN EP, I'm damn sure they used some of the same swamp art and character model for that dreamstate of Elexis.

However, EA did move the release forward to get in before Quake Wars.

I won't try the demo for this because I consider it entirely possible just having an EA published CD/DVD in a drive could ruin my pc. I should also point out I've never played any of the BF games, but I've never ragged on them either. But having a publisher openly acknowledge that even a game that's got issues will NOT be fixed. Well, you're not going to get to even fool me once.

Also, since I no longer have the luxury of just buying games for the chance I may like it, I've gotten a lot more picky about those I do buy. With QW being done by Splash, I'm confident it will be every bit as fun ET. I'm also confident that anything to do with ID will be fairly well coded and bugs will be hunted down. So, that's a definite buy the moment it's available. Same with UT. I bought DEFCON because it was so cheap and developers like this should be supported imo. I haven't played it yet, but I'm hoping for it to be a blast.

I'm also fairly sure Monolith can't program for shit, considering how poor FEAR ran upon release. Still, they know how to make fun games, so I allow them some leverage and buy anyway.
