Looks like it was built on the Quake2 engine.

I wasn't aware UE3 engine visuals were that dated. I guess I was wrong?

I still have the New Mutants (or maybe early X-Force) comics where he was introduced, and I sure as hell don't remember him being some sorta spaz-iod retard? Then again I quit collecting comics shortly after that, did I miss something in the last 20 years?

If I remember correctly he was introduced in the X-Force comic as a villain. He became popular, and was made into an anti-hero character. I still feel he's only popular now because he "breaks" the fourth wall while the other characters in the comic have no idea what's going on. It does make for some good humor sometimes, but I think Deadpool is seriously overrated.

I mean sure they fleshed him out aka Weapon XI program, has the accelerated healing ability, super human strength and agility (though the strength part has been glossed over recently if I recall) etc. But he's just a wise ass version of Wolverine if you ask me, without the chip on his shoulder or the bad assery that Wolverine has.

The thing that sets the game apart, is that you can create your own levels and then share them with everyone. Of course, I believe that ability is behind the paywall (I think, don't quote me on that) as you have to pay their coin version or whatever to be able to share a map you make. I think anyone can go and make a map, but only those who pay can either save it, or share it.

Either way, it's a fun little game. I don't know what anyone was expecting with it, but it was more or less a Minecraft clone with an actual FPS involved. The devs listened and added a lot of stuff in the launch version, hell they added turrets!

Thanks for that insightful comment and expanding on it as well. I am impressed with the description you gave.

I can expand on it.......Ubisoft. Soon to be a.k.a. Poopysoft.

As a PC gamer I should hate Ubisoft pretty much without exception. But I could careless about DRM. I'm not a pirate, my internet connection never goes out, and I like quite a few Ubisoft titles. On the other hand, I do have to defend the fact that always on DRM stinks for some.

Still, I wouldn't go so far as to call them Poopysoft

Maybe KindacrappyDRMsoft?

Wow, I've totally forgotten about this game. Does anyone play this?
I remember playing the beta or something, was fun if I remember, but I think BFBC2 was out at the time and also http://battlefield.play4free.com/ is better.

Anyway for free to play games, I'm totally hooked on Tribes Ascend, good old T2 (ish) action.

Wow, somehow I completely missed the BF 4 free launch. Is it any good?

It was a decent couple day distraction. It only had like 1 or 2 maps when I last played so...got old very fast.

It has 9 or 10 maps now I believe. Most if not all the BF2 maps are in, and a couple new maps as well I think.

BFP4F is literally BF2 but a F2P version. They even added a server browser to the game now (and there are quite a few players). As with Heroes, you can win permanent weapons and what have you with their card system when you log in each 12 or 24 hours.

There's quite a few people playing this still. They have a TON of maps (though to be honest most of them are just night time versions of the same maps etc), I think 22 maps in total now? You get this claw thing whenever you log in, and you can win permanent weapons doing that (I've won a couple this way).

It's certainly a fun little time diversion imo.

Is this new IP a DX9 game or is it using newer DX11 features?

It was running on PC, using DX11 features for the E3 demo etc.

I'm loving LoG, awesome throw back to the olden Dungeon Crawlers of yesteryear but with a nice new coat of paint on top.

Also, what exactly was the big deal with Sword & Sworcery? I played it for 10 or 15 mins and was just bored to tears and didn't enjoy it one iota?

It certainly looks great, and it has come a long way over the months that I've been watching it.

I'm also watching (and playing now yay!) Auto Club Revolution. Which has blown me away with the quality on offer. Project Cars has that same look to me, though I don't know how it plays. I'm assuming it's a tad more hardcore than ACR (or other style racing games).

They should rename it "Batman: Punch Thugs in the Face." I'd gladly pay full price for that too.

I'm just saying it's pretty rewarding when those guys show up in body armor so you get to do the "beatdown" combo. Especially after a bad day at work.

Yeah, the combat in the game, while really quite simple, is soooo satisfying. I love the slo mo zoom ins on doods getting raped by Bats.

Oh man thank you! I thought I was the only one. I got seriously dizzy playing this. This has NEVER happened before in my entire gaming life, so I don't know what the hell Croteam did, but yowza. When you get that hammer at the start and swing it, I felt like I was going to puke/pass out practically!

If Lucas Arts didn't let Galaxy go free to play you can bet they aren't going to let SWTOR go free to play. EA loves money too so don't see it happening anyways. There could be 5 guys left playing and EA would still charge them 15$ a month.

This had nothing to do with TOR going F2P. He discussed whether they would make WAR F2P and how TOR would affect WAR in the long run. Since they have WOH coming up, they don't feel the need to go down the F2P route with WAR, even though most people would argue otherwise.

TOR will never go F2P, not with the budget and resources that have been sunk into it. WAR should be F2P by this point.

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Portal, and Team Fortress)

Newsflash, if you are a corporation, you better know what franchises you created and which you didn't.

Because TF and CS are not by Valve , TF was a mod for Quake, and CS a mod for HL. Done by modders, NOT by valve.

Valve bought the mod teams, and the IPs for those games/mods as I'm sure you know. Therefore they can say whatever they want, since they own the names and all that good stuff.
