This could be the next RBR if done right. Super excited

Only problem is Milestone SUCKS. At least on PC they suck. Both WRC games they've put out recently, were fairly OK more or less - but online play was broken and never patched. Hell, for most players (like me) you registered for an account with them so you can upload scores and times etc and to play online and the damn thing FORGOT YOUR ACCOUNT every time you launched the game practically.

Not to mention the bugs which is besides the point.

Milestone may be competent enough to make a good racer (and they are good racers) but they have crappy QA or no one cares what they put out there.

Also, screw you Atari (or whatever the hell you are these days).

Minimum, Human Head's current game (on Steam) is an awesome game with a very unique visual style etc. Atari let them get out a few updates over the few months the game has been on EA. Now, the game is about dead. HH developers are obviously working on Lost Within now (and good for them) and a couple or so of the Minimum guys are going to work on the game in their free time to fix bugs and put out unreleased content etc.

So the game is pretty much dead. Thanks Atari, great job!

Er, dunno where you guys get news from sources wise, but I heard of Unturned plenty. Knew about it before it ever launched on Steam EA, when the developer basically redid the game's graphics (yes, he redid them lol) to make it look better than it did.

Also, for those of you who seem to hate F2P games with a passion - there are some F2P games done right out there. Path of Exile comes to mind first of course, but there are others. Tera is a great F2P game (and is coming to Steam soon-ish) as well.

It's a MOBA in spirit only. Action game more than anything. Also, really fun.

Also, I play it on Windows 8.1, so, there's that?

If you watch the 4+ minute long video on the Steam store page, the developers explain why the game was made (and why it's the way it is). Apparently Nina Freeman when she was 12 or so did something like this, and thus, the game was born?

But shit, the graphics are almost 8bit it'd be painful to play. What about the Monolith game..

It holds up quite nicely in the graphics department actually. One thing the Lithtech engine did right even back then was some pretty nice lighting and shadow effects. Sure they are basic and crap looking these days but in 1999/2000 they blew your mind. Also, holding that motion tracker and hearing it go off when you accidentally destroyed something in the environment thinking it was an alien coming for you - classic!

If so.. YES!
I hope the players got smart, didnt buy it.. and hit them right in the pocketbook (I like using old terms).

Here's to hoping that... wait, i bet the dummies still bought it hand over fist on the consoles, huh?

It's actually not a bad game...really. Also, Kevin Spacey.

It's actually a very well done little game. It's quite fun, and the MOBA stuff isn't really a thing (yet) to worry about until you PVP obviously. They have a really good tutorial leading you into some PvE matches and then PvP finally. Graphics are great, sound design is quite good. Gameplay is pretty good as well. Overall, it's worth playing to pass some time. And you might have fun as well

Oh god, can I get that alpha code then sir? I really hate begging for keys and such, but there's just something about this game that really gets me excited. Plus you know, I alpha/beta test so much , it's just a way of doing things I'm used to for me.

There's an NDA.

Yeah I saw that it did over on their forums. I just got an email with Fortnite in the title, and got super excited that maybe I got the alpha invite, but alas it was just a twitch stream thingy.

One of the few games I'm really looking forward to. Plus, I love testing beta games as it is, Fortnite woulda been a nice one to help out on

It's not the cluster that AC Unity was at launch is it?

Check this one out:

Currently myself and many others on the Steam forums (and beyond) can't launch the game because of some sort of USB debugging thing going on. The game freezes as it's going full screen and just stops. Some people fix it by unplugging everything but a keyboard and mouse (mind you, serial mouse and kb not usb) and some people like me unplug everything including a 360 pad and still can't play it.

So, for some of us, it's a cluster screwjob still.

The reason it looks like The Specialists is probably because one of the two dudes who made that mod, is making this game/mod. It's basically The Specialists in HL2 but not...?

Super fun game. Been playing it in EA for months and love it. The dev (I think it's only one dude making the game, could be wrong though)is very involved with the community, taking suggestions and changing things/adding things. Graphics are top notch to, for a small indie game like this.

The attacks do get more varied and the mobs get bigger as you progress of course, but at the moment there are only the 5 floors to go through before you beat the game. But then you have all the different characters to unlock for future play throughs/doing things in the game etc.

I highly recommend it if you are a shooter fan or a fan of the "rogue-like" genre.

Horizons is still running, though it's now called Istaria and it's kinda a F2P game - though not really.

Still has 3 NA servers and I think 1 EU server going. You can play the Human race and have that one character. Everything else is sub locked, behind a $9.99 and $14.99 price.

Or does it add cpu controlled guys or something?

Before I even touched single player I tried joining a multiplayer game- and it wound up just being me and another guy. I believe the host of the game can start it whenever he wants (I think). No other AI was added it was just us.

Hell the fucking hacks/cheats for this were out of control back when it was just APB, and they are just now addressing it?

Gamersfirst isn't really known for addressing hacking in their games to well. Still, they've been trying their hardest for a couple years now banning and updating the client (and security junk with it) to try to catch hackers. Hasn't been a bang up job, but it's not out of control (usually).
