*yawn* new end-game content. I've had characters all the way up to level 91 and never been close to the end game content they are talking about.

Hell I've never gotten a character past level 60 or so I don't think. Every new expansion or major league update thingy they do I usually make a new character (had to actually delete one when the last league launched) but I can never push past 60 give or take a few levels. I love the game but it's just a slog and if you haven't played in eons, good luck trying to figure anything out that's new (though they have added in that in-game journal that kinda explains stuff).

This reminds me so much of a game from years ago that I can't remember the name of. All I remember is it was originally an XBLA release (and it for sure came to Steam, since I have it lol just can't remember it heh) and it was basically an on rails space shooter kinda game. Had a ton of fun with it though. This looks like that game both in looks and gameplay to me. Even the way the ship moves around with the jiggly movement looks like this older game.

As for the VR thing, maybe Redout itself did poorly for them on VR sets and they decided not to go the VR route with this game? I dunno, the genre of game certainly fits VR pretty damn well.

Is the studio big enough to handle two fairly high profile games like this now? I mean say what you will about Shadow Warrior and it's popularity, I know plenty of folks are looking forward to SW3 next year. And while this is only a cinematic, I always love old west mixed with new stuff like demons/monsters etc so I'm looking forward to it. I just hope they can handle the load (and I assume they are working on other things as well like most studios do) being they have 3 different offices for FWH I hope it's enough.

I love how Bruce Campbell said over and over again if Ash vs. Evil Dead got canned, he would be done with the Ash character for good and retire that whole part of his career. Seems as if he's changed his mind (but then again he also did more Ash stuff for Dead by Daylight last year, heh)

I've been enjoying this game since the EA release. The dev listened to feedback over the years and has made a really fun, good looking and playing rouge-lite FPS. Really hope the game gets some attention and love from streamers and gamers because it's very well made overall. The new characters, I can't wait to unlock them and see the new weapons as well.

Does this one have a safe mode like SOMA or is it like the original Amnesia?

Some of the reviews I've seen mentioned it has no safe mode this time around. It maybe could be added post-launch, but apparently the monsters are kinda important to the story, so it'd be pretty hard to cut them out for a safe mode.

An niche of a genre way overdone lately, and then done in what looks like MS Paint? I don't know what this dev was thinking.

Bluedrake42 is super into hardcore tactical shooters and the older style Battlefield games. Warfare 1944 is mostly (from what I can gather) a proof of concept thing for the OHDCore Framework thing the dev studio he started is using for Operation Harsh Doorstop which will be a F2P game (and basically a Battlefield 1942 game, with more hardcore realism stuff in it) running on said OHDCore for Unreal Engine 4. He wants to prove someone can make a quality, F2P game, that's also hardcore and tactical in 202x. I think. Sometimes it's hard to follow what Bluedrake42 says and does on his Youtube channels lol

I literally feel like my brain would melt playing this at my advanced age. But I also give them props for actually including some science terms in the trailer lol "heat birth of the universe" interesting way of saying Big Bang, but sure I'll take it!

Literally the only company facetious enough to market taking content away as a feature...

Well I won't speak to their humor on it, but as for removing content, they are getting to the point they have no choice it seems. The engine and underlying systems of the game can't just take adding new content over and over anymore according to some speculation from people and apparently a leak from Bungie awhile back sorta confirmed this. Which is why they are doing this vault thing, which I imagine will be a separate install or client altogether. Plus there is plenty of legacy content from before Forsaken came out even, that is barely touched unless you are just grinding materials or bounties etc nowadays. So they could do worse than "remove" that content (and put it elsewhere for those who do want to play it). And they are also adding Destiny 1 content to that vault thingy, which I'm all for as someone who never played D1.

Ohhh... makes sense when I think of the controls, I was thinking it was some kind of reference to the graphics and that had me confused.

Oh I thought you literally meant you didn't know Halo had those other games, not that you didn't know what a twin stick shooter is. As mentioned, it's just a top down or isometric (usually) shooter where on console you use both sticks to shoot and aim, and on PC you can use the mouse or mouse and keyboard to do it.

I don't understand the reference, "twin stick shooter"?

Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike are both twin stick shooters released in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Well after WRC 8 was yanked off Steam literally a day before launch last year and it seems we're not getting WRC 9 either on Steam, I guess Codemasters having the rights means we might actually get WRC games back on Steam instead of EGS for a year wait. I'm still waiting for WRC 8 to launch on Steam, I think it's in August but I haven't followed it since pulled that garbage before launch.

Considering how MK11 actually ended, not sure how things move forward after this "story" wise. But I mean, it's MK, they could do anything they want really. I'm just pumped that freaking Peter Weller himself is coming back for Robocop and that the original actor for Shang Tsung in the MK movie is doing the voice etc for him in the game now. I just think that's really cool.

Wow, so they used Steam users for the alpha and beta testing (which I was part of) and then 2 fucking weeks before release on Steam, pull it and make it EGS exclusive. Great, that's just awesome Coffee Stain. Guess I won't be buying anymore of your games now either. And I really liked Huntdown from what I played of it, shame.

Yeah, I'd never play a game like this in VR. I'd literally be afraid it might cause a bleed in my brain. Also if this is a real thing, maybe don't announce it on the dumbest day of the year? Just saying, especially with a dude fake puking in your trailer for it lol
