I go months and months between matches sometimes, and in public servers I usually have a great time. I find the KF community is awesome most of the time, offering help and advice, and almost always giving out dosh (money) when you ask or need it.

As for going in totally blind, yeah you should be fine.

There's been bots in the game for a couple of months now at least. Sure it was only training mode stuff at first but now they fill out multiplayer matches and you can join players vs. bot matches in a playlist, along with making a custom match with as many bots as you want and open it up to others.

Sigh, I wish they'd do the same for Armageddon. I know most people hated that game - but I thought it was quite fun. I actually finished RF:A but never quite finished RF:G. Still, a remastered version of Guerrilla, maybe now I'll finish it.

Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr is an ARPG and its been out in EA for months now (getting close to final release). Its from the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing devs, so yeah. Chaosbane is not the first ARPG set in that universe.

Yea, I bought this when they first started to sell it on their web site. Played it a little. been also avoiding this one so I dont get burned out when it goes live. But its been a fun game too. just a little disappointed in their approach to how Coop works.

They opted to not have the Campaign Coop. only missions.

Bummer!!

Yeah not having the campaign fully coop capable is a bummer, but at least there is coop. And aren't the missions you can do in coop randomly generated etc, so you'll always have something to do no? And I get you about not wanting to get burned out on the game before it even comes out. I've only played the game a handful of times now, usually when big patches come out - to see what's changed and if it ran better on my rig. Thankfully it runs great for me now, and combat etc feels way better. I am indeed looking forward to the final release.

Warhammer 40K is the sci-fi universe, regular Warhammer is medieval fantasy.

Oh, when Blue said "fantasy Warhammer universe" I just figured that meant 40K lol I guess not then. Probably should have read the rest of the story it seems I dumb dumb.

It's not 2143, so the only real question here is "how disappointing is it?"

Man I've give both my nuts for a sequel to 2142. Still one if not my favorite Battlefield games ever. I mean, 1942 was terrific but it hasn't aged so well now, but Battlefield 2 was amazing and still is. 2142 was like that, just with lasers and giant mechs. I don't know how long its gonna take DICE to go back to the future, if they ever do it.

Anyone hear a confirmation on if that rumor that this was coming to Steam is true or not?

My friends and I want to try this, but we don't want cancer from the Microsoft Store.

Its coming to Steam for sure, especially when they get error messages pop up during a live stream recently telling them that Steam isn't connected Here's a screengrab from the stream itself someone posted on the Steam forums. The video in question was removed from Twitch (I guess for obvious reasons?) so all there is is this now. Also, from some people talking the SoD website also states the game will come to Steam at a TBD date in the future aka MS exclusivity deals.

Yeah I had a blast with it for about 40 hours or so as well. I did enjoy the end game stuff for a bit, but man its really lean. Still, I would go back since I had so much fun just shooting stuff over and over. I'll wait until a price cut or sale at some point down the line - and jump back in then.

Don't you just love it when someone posts fps and "everything maxed" but fails to mention system specs.

If you didn't get max on that set up, I'd get my money back lol

Loved the game, right up until the game turned into the RTS it really is. Not sure why Double Fine literally hid the fact that the game is an RTS most of the time, but whatever. It was years ago, I got over it lol Still, pretty fun game and I recommend it, especially if you are a metal head or like rock.

Not gonna lie, that trailer got me pumped for this game. I'm super excited to see them return to WW2 as it is, but this looks like a legit good game to me. The story seems good as well, which is always a plus in a CoD game. I just hope the entire SP isn't set piece after set piece after set piece.

Some of you might like this then, its a 2 part PAX West awesomefest celebrating The Witcher's 10th birthday - hosted by good ole boy American hero Danny O'Dwyer himself. With some of the big wigs from CDPR on stage with him, its pretty good. The sound is a bit low, but if you raise the volume on your PC/whatever or download the video or audio straight up, its easily fixable.

11. Re: Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Early Access Sep 1, 2017, 15:53 LOC

Even though in the end the Van Helsing games were still buggy by the end of life patches - they were still awesome and fun ARPG's. Not to mention the co-op and multiplayer was fun as well. Deathtrap - same thing just tower defense.

This is basically Van Helsing as someone said earlier just with a Warhammer 40K skin and some different mechanics surrounding that. It is buggy, and stuff isn't in yet obviously. Still, I'm having just as much fun with it as with the other games from NeoCore. I just worry the game will never finish being patched out.

Also, just today there have been like 3 patches. So yes, this isn't a moneygrab or anything like that. These guys are a known quantity (however good or bad that is) and you can be almost certain the game will come out of EA finished (besides the mentioned buggy stuff their games usually have).

Rec specs are a bit of a pigfucker aren't they considering they'll run just fine on crappy ol' consoles. Sounds like it's going to be an unoptimized POS. And if it doesn't run on Win 7 they may as well not even bother.

Well according to all reports it runs great even on a potato PC. And it sounds fairly well optimized as well (some outlets have played it for over 2 hours, which is probably long enough to see any early memory leaks etc).

Well to be fair, the game is kinda unique-ish in the MOBA space and was in development long before the MOBA-boom started a few years ago. Also its pretty fun, and this is coming from a guy who hates not only MOBA style games but also competitive multiplayer games.

So maybe because I'm old and Doom and Quake MP was what I loved way back when - but this looks awesome! I'm sure I'll get my ass handed to me these days as my hand eye coordination just can't cut it against younger people playing but the game looks like a fun arena shooter. So glad these types of shooters are making a comeback.

Also, was that actually music they used in the trailer, or did someone fall asleep on their keyboard while making that "beat" ?

From what I hear they've dumbed down the physics from Dirt Rally and content is lacking, which is a shame.

Not sure where the content is lacking, I suppose they may have removed some game play ideas etc. But you can (for the Rally mode anyways) make procedually generated tracks and do it over and over, and as far as I'm aware - share them online.

I don't see why everyone is already complaining about the cloaking enemies in this - considering what kind of tech we got in Future Soldier after all. Sure, that was a "near future" style world, but we aren't that far away from that technology being usable in the field. Plus, its a game after all

Whats with the health bars?

Its not a sim, so eh I guess its ok right? Kinda? In any event, I could have sworn this was a mobile port (just upgraded quite a bit) but it seems it isn't and is a PC and console game. Oh consoles, that's why there are health bars!
