Maybe they consider Quake Champions, Quake 5? I can't think of any other reason to be honest, other than to get the internet roaring with rumors and gossip. Which worked out pretty well already for them heh.

It's Adam Savage's Tested, not just Adam Savage. He has a whole team, and Adam has never done the tech content. It isn't his field of expertise - that's why he has Norm on the team (who also does a lot of the 'geek' stuff, model building, and so on.) It's better to have an expert discussing the various topics they cover than to have a celebrity expert cover something outside of his field.

Not to mention Norm and Will Smith ran Tested long, long before Adam Savage came along and basically cannibalized the name of the channel etc. Thankfully Norm and crew are still there and Adam basically lets them do mostly whatever they want still. Mainly because he's into tech stuff but not the nitty gritty like Norm etc. would be.

I mean, that's fine and all. I don't have an Iphone or any Apple product though. So for me, it's still EGS exclusive

Sigh, I had no idea this was EGS exclusive until now. I loved Horizon Chase Turbo and I got so many of my friends to buy it on Steam. Shame the devs took the EGS bribe money to make it exclusive for however long (6 months, a year, it doesn't matter) it is. I honestly don't know if I'll pick it up when it hits Steam down the road now. No pun intended.

Players will have to link their Battle.net and Steam accounts, but will not have to login to Battle.net in addition to Steam.
These are desperate times for OW2.

It's like that for all versions of the game, Battle.net and consoles alike.

It's because it's Trepang Squared. Wish they'd have thought of that before keeping the name, but it's fine as long as you realize what it is. And most people don't realize it lol

So the keys the Wii used is baked into the source code for Dolphin, which is a major no-no and why Nintendo decided to finally go after them and their Steam release. Modern Vintage Gamer did a video on this yesterday, and actually showed the source code (blurred out so he wouldn't get DMCA'ed also) literally showing the keys in the source code. Not sure why the Dolphin team did that since again it's considered a major no-no for emulation teams. But, hopefully they can fix the situation easily and fairly quickly. The Gamecube keys aren't included, just the Wii. So it seems removing the Wii keys from the code would be the easiest solution, but I am not a coder so I don't know how difficult it would be.

Severed Steel is nothing like Mirror's Edge really, other than some parkour stuff. It's much more action focused with the whole bullet time and what not. And yes Mortal Shell is a body swapping Soulslike kinda thing, it's more complicated than that but that's the gist of it.

Still regularly play UT3 DM with mates - Barge and Deck are still awesome maps.

We did try the latest UT incarnation via the EpicFail Store but it just didn't have that Unreal feel, so we all uninstalled it.

I mean to be fair to that UT version, it was barely ever more than an alpha.

Oh my. Perhaps that is why I have no memory of it

old shooter connoisseur civvie11 was pretty positive about it in a 30 minute review he did of it.

the game is really a technical marvel for 1997, its funny to go back and read those boomer reviews and see how hypnotized they were by silly bullshit "quake killer" chasing, fixating on all the wrong things.

its fun-spirited eurojank, it was really ambitious for its time and the execution was kind of clumsy but kind of charming.

I recently saw someone call civvie a sellout/shill and I was like, what the actual?

Previous games in the series that had multiplayer were fun as hell. Never understood why Ubisoft stopped putting MP/Coop in the Assassin's Creed games. I mean, after the Origins "reboot" or refresh of the series I get it because they went open world etc. But Brotherhood had awesome multiplayer and Unity (I think it was Unity) had amazing coop. I'd be down for a new Assassin's Creed mp experience in 202x.

Titanfall...

That's the first thought that came to my mind also. Like, I get it, Apex makes them good money so it makes more sense to do any sort of SP game set in that part of the universe (since Apex and Titanfall share the same universe after all) but damn it, why can't they do a TF3 already at this point. Just have a few people work on it until more people can move over to it even. Just SOMETHING lol

I mean I agree with you to an extent - but the fact all the Darkstalkers games are here is a big get for many people. And Red Earth alone is a big one for many many people. $40 is a bit much for what this is (a rom collection as you called it, which is pretty accurate) but at least they didn't go full price on it. I guess?

I also recently re-played Mafia 3 and had quite a good time with it. It isn't some masterpiece of the open world genre mind you, but it is well made, the gameplay is good and it still looks quite good as well (on PC, dunno how it holds up on consoles, though I am playing the "remaster" they re-released) and I actually like the story quite a bit. It's a bit heavy handed at times, but that's fine in the end imo.

So wait, the FTC is fine with Microsoft buying Activision/Blizzard but seemingly not ok with Sony buying Bungie? That seems a little bit one sided to me, since Activision/Blizzard is a huge publisher and Bungie is - a game development studio that happens to currently self-publish their own game IP I guess? How does one compare Acti/Blizz to Bungie then?

I mean most games are "knockoffs" if you want to be pedantic about it lol There's very few original game ideas these days. As long as it's well made, bug free (or comparatively bug free these days) and is fun, I'm ok with it looking like similar games in that genre.
