It's a very polished EA. I found the underground sections less entertaining than roaming the planet surface. Let's see how it all turns out story-wise.

If you think Minecraft is work, maybe you shouldn't be reviewing games...
Nowadays, I tend to avoid games with lots of crafting survival etc.
I go for great solo experiences like Dead Space or small doses of competitive fun like Quake 3 (or live).
Everything else reminds me too much of work. Growing old....

Not even close to Q3. Movement is totally messed up.

I've been in all the closed alphas for this game...I usually end up going back to Quake Live or UT4 after a little bit.

It's not terrible MP, it's just a lot of console feel and gimmicky stuff, doesn't feel like a true competitive arena shooter.
Also booted up the Steam version of Quake live yesterday. It's really the only thing you need when it comes to FPS deathmatch. But I also tried the UT reboot alpha thing. Not bad either.

UWP is pretty much beta, DX12 is pretty much beta and current gen nvidia hardware is known for its poor dx12 support. Saw this coming.

I'm not that much into RTS games anymore but I gave it a shot when it was like 25 bucks a couple of weeks ago. I actually really liked it. It's not that heavy on micro management and that zone-control system appealed to me. Will try out the single player campaign (or whatever they call it) ASAP.
Edit: Can't be said enough: If you have a nvidia card you'll get zero advantage from the dx12 version...

Yes, it's the same here with Ashes of the Singularity, the DX11 version runs way better on my 960GTX since Nvidia fucked it up on the hardware side with DX12 in this generation.
