to hate those *damn corps* which provide us with lots of the products we use and love, but...those *damn corps* pay plenty in taxes. Don't think they do? Just go look at an earnings statement. In fact, the earnings of those *damn corps* are taxed twice. How you ask? Well..

A public company, lets say Walmart, earns a profit. That money is taxed at what ever high rate. Leftover money is turned over to the owners of Walmart (the stockholders) in the form of dividends. These dividends, income which has already been taxed, is then taxed AGAIN when it is turned over to the stockholders. Corp profits are INDEED taxed

Speaking of food for Thanksgiving, I had some of those Bryan Cocktail Smokies (affectionately referred to as "little sausages" around here).

Excuse me, would you like to taste my smoked meat log?

Can you name another conquered people who have been treated at well as American Indians? A modern American Indian has a free go at just about anything, including college and whatnot. Sadly, their poverty is prob caused by this *free go*....if you dont have to work maintian your lifestyle, and you have never seen anything other than your current lifestyle....why work at all?

A-pillar? What on earth is that?

Well Jim, its the leading support(the first, the A, get it?) to the roof of the car, the pillars that run along either side of the windshield to the roof.

Like any list, I'm sure there were tons of better choices that were neglected....(NIN Pretty Hate Machine was SO much better than Downward Sprial)...

From the looks of things, they didnt seem to place too much importance on revolutionarty things....it was there, but only if that group was totally main stream.

LOL. He said "rectify"

I remember in highschool electronics class, every time a "rectifier" was mentioned, about 15 people would just go on and on about "rectum fires" and whatnot...(no one in college paid enough attention to say anything like that)

Rectum? Damn near killed 'em!

Let the bad jokes BEGIN!.....

and of course the oft used.....

Liquor?......I hardly KNOW her....

Extended warrenty?.....how could i LOSE!?!?!

Not sure if you're kidding or not...

Sorry nin, I couldn't resist the Simpsons quote. *Homer getting the crayon put back into his brain at Moe's....*

I really don't know about extended warrenties anymore. My business side tells me the only reason they exist is that the consumer, on average, does not get their moneys worth. As far as cars go, I would guess people seldom get it back.

I have purchased exactly 2 extended warrenties in my time, and both times it has been worth my money. Although, the second time required a little.....help
Co-worker: "What are you doing with the ESD gun?"
Me: "Nothing....hehe"
Co-worker: "Extended warrenty?"
Me: "Wanna help?"
Co-worker: "Sure, first ground there ports...."

And they STILL fixed it rather than replace it.....

Part of the reason I paid extra for my car is I got an extended warranty for up to 100k miles. So if anything breaks, my deductible is $100.

Extended warrenty?.....how could i LOSE!?!?!

And I hate to say it but, building a computer is SIMPLE. Well, i should say assembling a home computer is simple. I even managed to do it. While the parts are very complicaited, the way in which they fit together is not. Everything plugs into the mobo. That's it. You dont even need the case. Cars simply have many more parts, and those parts are VERY interdependent.....

You can gank a stick of ram from a computer and it'll still be kosher...might not work but nothing else will break......if you say....gank the timing belt off a car, things will most likely NOT be kosher....sit back and enjoy the sounds of piston hitting valve (assuming the pistons dont have grooves to allow this to happen)......and so on and so on

30,000 mile maintenance, which is a major tune-up, which, along with new front brakes, a throttle body cleaning, and state inspection cost me $1,445 that I could not afford.

From what I have read in countless auto rags (Car and Driver mostly) you often have to SPECIFICALLY ASK them to preform ONLY the maintenence the manufacturer specifies...nothing more. Some dealers take the 30,000 mile service as an oppertunity to do what ever they damn well please at your expense.

I just think it would be wild if one day global warming was found to be a myth....

It already is.

I know I know....i was just trying to avoid a flame war. Like that one artical CNN artical (it was posted here iirc) about some huge chunk of an ice cap breaking off and melting...then they ended the thing by mentioning when this thing totally melts, the worlds oceams would RAISE!!!!!(about 4 thousandths of an ice)

And thanks for mentioning the *global cooling*....I had almost forgotton about the ice age scare tactic folks.....

OH, and one more note....tonight on NOVA....an in depth look at our magnetic feild.....and its degridation....now thats something NO ONE could blame on us

PROUD TO BE AN UNWASHED HEATHEN
