here is a VA hospital in Coatesville, PA about 1.5 hours from me. My uncle spent some time there dealing with the diabetes and alcoholism and whatever else he picked up in Viet Nam (aside from two bronze stars and visiting several countries the US denies being in).

That was the most depressing, scary place I've ever been.

Truly sad to see veterans treated so poorly.

As if "The Ville" wasn't scary enough already. Yeah, that place is HUGE. I've driven my pop there on a few occations...its huge buracratic cluster *$#&, with tons of full time workers who never seem to be doing anything

For all the money it must cost to run that place, its such a shame it all thoes resources can't be used more effectively.....

I so much wanted to like Arcanum. The idea was cool, but yeah, the execution was awful. The interface was all heavy, the combat blew goats....I dont really have faith that Troika could do justice to FO3....

For some reason, I dont see IPLY giving controll of development to Obsidian....wayyyyyy too many egos would get in the way....how would it look to the higher-up to lose a bunch of your folks then contract out the company they started to do work for you. It would rub too many poeple the wrong way..

Then again, I'm wrong with near 100% accuracy....

/all spelling errors intentional

Bunko, what I was trying to say was....

I dont need ANY viewpoint pushed at me. I'm watching the Superbowl, not seeking someone elses idea of social enlightenment.

If I showed up to a protest, then push away. I'm clearly interested. I think the link is just plain funny....the people who put themselves across as the most accepting folks react VERY poorly when not everyone agrees with them.

When I'm watching the Superbowl, I just want to be entertained. I do not see the need for inflammatory adds spouting off half (of less!) truths about all sorts of issues...

Meat can cause impotence? I love claims like that....add the word CAN and you can say damn near anything....

These are the same people who would SCREAM foul if some religious organization put on some sort of inflammatory add too....

Superbowl commercials are for things like Bud-bowl, and Cola wars....the kind of thing that doesn’t mean a damn in the end, its just FUN to watch. Not every part of life HAS to be about imposing your social view on freaking everyone....

Forchristsakes PETA.....leave me the heck alone. We really need more groups like http://www.protestwarrior.com/

So anyone else watch the game? I would like to thank Bret Farve for his BONEHEADED lob down the field in OT.

In all, that Pack did play a very good game but....in the end, it's the score that counts.

Did the story involve rolling her in flour and looking for the wet spot?

Your so far across the line that the line is a dot to you.

Bucky, it's a SONG......Bloodhound Gang, "You're pretty when I'm drunk"

If you have a buddy that often gets into this kind of "trouble" when you guys are out drinkin, its THAT much funnier.

My poor little puppy (God rest her soul)....in her long life she (a 16 lb Boston Terrier) ate:

+[Whole stick of butter off the kitchen table]
+[1 lb bag of marshmallows]
+[Bag of Jolly Ranchers (wrappers and all)]
+[Bottle of nail polish]
+[My Halloween stash of 13 Recess Peanut Butter Cups]

The little monster would also routinely finagle 2 dinners per night by claiming she had not been fed to multiple family members. She would also refuse to go to sleep (and therefore, not let US to go sleep) unless she had her nightly helping of orange juice.

I'm sure there are other ghastly things she ate.....those just popped to mind first..

We miss you pup....

If he/she can afford that car, then he/she should be able to afford to have it cleaned by professionals.

Sir, I must take issue with that attitude. How far is ok with this mindset?

Say someonone rents their apartment, and that landlord had 1000 rental properities. Would it be fair for someone to conclude that the landlord is doing fine without their rent, so they won't pay?

What if a bunch of the windows in your home were broken out by some malfunctioning device, or heck, by your own horrible judgement. Would you expect someone to look down on you for asking for a way to cheapyly replace them? Hell, you have a house and they have a lousy apartment....the nerve of you trying to save some of what you already have more of...

The person with the paint can garfed, and now they are stuck with the damage. Is some friendly advice on how to help cut his losses so much to ask? Does it offend you that much?...

Hey Bronco,

Did you catch that History Channel thing on Tailgating? I can't tell you the pride I felt to see Philly recognized as having the nastiest fans around.....Snowballs at Santa?...Booing an injured (Dallas) player (Michael Irvine) for 20 minutes?....first judge/jail at a staduim? (the vet)....

I may kid about them blowing it......but I still LOVE my Eagles...

Unit match ups were one huge issue. It made me sick when one of my battle ships would be sunk by an iron clad....and 2 iron clads would ALWAYS take out a battleship. A squad of musket men seemed to have little problem taking out a mechanized infantry unit. Just immagine these senerios for a moment....some M2 Bradly Fighting Vehicles get over run by some guys in tri-corner hats and muskets???....the U.S.S. New Jersey getting sunk by the Monitor???....clearly some sort of a "mega damage" outclassed kinda modifier was needed. On a reasonablely high difficutly, cities more than a few map boxes away from your capital (of forbidden city) were totally WORTHLESS. Curroption.

This Civ III just amplified what was wrong with the game.....

Rather than having a technolgy or not, what about degrees of a technolgy? Maybe the Tech could be flight....but there are X lvls of it. The first is like WWI style....up to and past modern war planes. Prop and jet seem to oversimplify fighting aircraft.

And tone down that "global warming" crap....its WAY too harsh in game play....

I hate that STUPID "jump the shark" expression. I hate it. Lots. I saw the "creator" of it on TV a few months back....some jackass acutally took credit for thinking of it, and was somehow now an EXPERT on what was cool and what was past its prime. I hate the way its all *edgy cool* to use too...well...its used as if it is edgy and cool. It's just dumb.

The end.

After seeing a little documentary on Coral Castle on the History Channel a few years back (narrated by Leonard Nemoy of all people!) I have been intrigued about it. Sadly, this article seems to omit/contradict lots of what I saw on that documentary. For example, Ed often referred to the girl who built it for as his "sweet 16"....and this is inspired Billy Idol to write a song of the same name. Also, he was supposedly physically attacked in the castle, and that is why he moved it.

Its a shame there isn’t more hard research about this place...
