I never thought I'd say this, but Activision's offering seems more compelling right now (if you like this style game):

BF3:
--Always on DRM
--no dedicated servers
--locked at 30fps
--Can be taken away from you if you stop using origin for 2 years

CODMW3:
--Steam DRM
--Dedicated user run server option
--60 fps target
--you lose it only if Gabe chokes on a meal, and has no will.

o.O

^D^

BF3 is not locked at 30fps
no dedicated servers is not a big deal

If only World of Tanks was, oh i don't know, a MMOG. Why the hell do people keep saying it? Thats like waiting in the lobby of starcraft 2 and saying "look i'm playing a MMO".

Thousand player armies... what sort of magic internet provider are we supposed to have for this to work?

Any provider really. Its never been about the internet you have, its always the servers lagging on other end for massive battles.

Now graphics lag is a different story. Loading up on screen hundreds of avatars at a time is going to be laggy on low end hardware. Depending on engine I suppose.

P.S: I hate when people call it "internet lag" when its not the internet at all.

Wait, so are these zone-wide events pvp related? Or does pvp mainly occur in warfronts?

Its mostly a pve game. Like most MMO out now, Pvp is after thought.

Its basically the same game as wow with better graphics.

It was a bore in beta, its was just same old crap every MMO has..go here kill this, repeat in next quest over and over.

Stop using Etc, Etc. Its not proper English.

Would you say "So on and so forth, so on and so forth" twice in a row in real life? no you would not. Unless you stutter a lot i guess..

FFS its not a MMO. Its a Match Making game.

Might as well call every game that has a game lobby a MMO from now..sc2 and BFBC2 also has thousands of players waiting for games at any given time.

Steam does not have any DRM, it just has a code to identify the user. Woopity do.

If it had DRM you could not copy the install files and the single player games on any PC you have. And you can do just that.

45fps vs 60 average in CoH
SupCOM crashes at startup
Bf2 tearing textures.
HALF fps in Counterstrike Source.
EDIT: OMG the notes say "Increased DX10 performance in Company of Heroes", it in fact REDUCED IT by 15fps on 8800GTS card. lol
Did Nvidia outsource its programmers to monkeys? It is so sad its beyond understanding.

What makes it works, the beta driver was terrible, but this kicked it up a notch to make it super terrible. If super terrible was a reward you could give for underachieving they got it.

All the stuff on that network card is what most network cards do now. They just rename it to sound "killer". lol

Its a retarded way to try to make some cash.
