I don't really like survival games, but I absolutely loved this. I played it in Fall of 2015 when it was still early in early access, but it still ended up being one of my favorite games that year.

I've been sitting on it, waiting for the full retail release to play it again.

Me too. It's been difficult staying away but I really want to experience it fully complete. Same with Ghost of a Tale. These are two EA games I'm actually glad to support.

So another 'on a computer' patent. Yeah because DMs haven't been adjusting campaign difficulties since D&D was created. I swear, working for the USPTO must be the easiest job in the world. 'Want a pantent for holding your dick with your left hand? No problem!'

Good luck with that, James. In the current political climate the white man is enemy #1. But like Gil Scott-Heron said, whitey's on the moon.

Watch out for the shit weather tomorrow/late today. They weren't calling for any rain/snow/freezing rain here in SW-Ontario, woke up with 1/16th" of freezing rain on the cars, blowing snow and 7" in the driveway. 2" more fell after 8am.

Yeah I just finished shoveling all that white, wet heavy bullshit. Ugh, gonna' be sore in the mornin'. Was gonna' break out my electric snowshovel but seeing as I'm resolved to get into good shape this year I did it the ol' fashioned way. Man, that sucks. Reminds me of that fake viral story about the guy removing snow with a flamethrower....

Fox stated that he was simply fed up with battling the elements and that he did not possess the willpower necessary to move four billion tons of white bull shit.

If someone can hack a finance system via a goldfish tank, then why would you ever attach something actually dangerous to the IoT?

Actually, I'll fix that for myself: Why would you ever attach something to the IoT? Cool? Kinda. Risky as fuck in these early days? Definitely.

Agreed. And even those issues aside who wants to be nagged by their applicances? Yeah, well maybe I changed my mind and and I'm not going to cook tonight. Or ordering things for you. Thanks but maybe I don't want to reorder something because I tried it and didn't care for it. And lastly, all this shit is just another way to yet datamine people. No chance in hell.

While I am tempted to agree with you, the odds are the percentage of dumbass kids has been unchanged in the last million years or so. As I have stated on this board multiple times, since at least as long as language has existed, every generation has thought the following generations were going to destroy the world.

Yeah but we've been able to actually quantify that for a while now. Technology is changing them and not for the better.

Didn't even notice the link to that vid until you mentioned. Holy shit she's crazy good. It's like if Bruce Lee had been born a little girl in Brazil and grew up studying jump rope instead of martial arts. Her cardio fitness level must be off the charts.

I'm not sure how Crytek is even still alive. They haven't released a noteworthy game in years, their engine licensing business is a joke compared to Unreal and Unity, they bought the Homefront IP, did nothing with it and then sold it, they sold the CryEngine source code to Amazon and now they're probably going to lose a lawsuit.

Crytek is basically a lesson in poor business decisions.

I think that's it. Amazon has effectively put them out of business. I imagine after this is wrapped up we'll see them pulling the plug.

I like that guy's engineering videos. I like how he keeps his workshop nice and organized as well. I'm so OCD about that sort of thing. Whenever I see vids with people with chaotic workshops it drives me insane. Maybe my ancestors are actually German. I especially liked his vid showing what a scam carnival games are. And love how he brought his friend who pitches for the Mets to clean up on the baseball games.

TFW when you have to make an overwatch map in another engine because blizzard sucks and hates modders

there are plenty of starcraft 1 and 2 mods around not too mention thousands for world of warcraft.

Yeah, with no thanks to Blizzard. Their games would be a million times better if they permitted and encouraged mods to begin with. Bethsoft is living proof of that.

Anyway, nice map if a little bland in the color department.

I don't believe I've ever seen the word "impertinent" used in a legal document before.

Thar sort of language - frivolous and without merit being used the most - is commonplace in motions to dismiss. Much as it pains me to agree with CIG about anything they're completely in the right here. I'd wager that this will end up costing Crytek legal fees and court costs. Wouldn't be surprised to see their lawyers being reprimanded by their respective bar as well.

Anyone have recommendations for sub-$100 gaming headphones? Thinking about replacing my Razer Kraken 7.1's; the mic button doesn't work anymore, the material that covers the padding has deteriorated, and the software/drivers like to randomly break.

Noise cancellation isn't a big deal, and my onboard sound is decent (Realtek ALC1150), so 3.5mm connectors are viable.

I've been looking at the Steelseries Arctis 5/3s. Along with being great for gaming they're supposedly pretty good with music as well (once you adjust the EQ). One thing I'm curious about though is if you're connecting through 3.5mm is it still using the headset's sound-card? From what I understand, through a convoluted process, you can still configure the headphones if you're using the 3.5mm jack. This makes me think it's still using the headphones' sound card.

Anyways other recommendations are welcome. My current headphones more or less work fine, I'm just annoyed with them for the above stated reasons.

Best PC gaming headset 2018: the best gaming headset for your new rig

I use Audio Technica cans myself. They're not gaming phones per se but the sound is amazing. I think I paid $150'ish for them a few years ago.

It's unbelievable, that Paltrow thing.

1) That there are people who actually think a 300 dollar fucking STRAW is going to do something for them.
2) That she's such a fucking sociopath that she doesn't care she's clearly ripping people off.

Shit like that always makes me wonder if they're just grifting or are really that fucking out to lunch. She's always been kind of a wackadoo anyway so I strongly suspect it's a bit from column a and a bit from column b.

Dates rather than features? It is but to lulz! Lulz! Well isn't that handy? That way they don't actually have to really deliver anything at all. Seven years on and still almost nothing to show for it. How much money have they got left at this point? I'm expecting CR and his wife to flee off to their newly built mansion in Argentina anytime now.
