In an e-mailed statement, the SPD says it "served a warrant at the home while investigating information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploiting Children" involving the possible distribution of child pornography. A judge signed the warrant. And: "The department greatly appreciates the ongoing work and advocacy of members of the Seattle Privacy Coalition."

Right. Yeah. Sure.

Asked to comment on the irony of helping the city with the privacy initiative, only to have his privacy violated this morning, Robinson said, "It's not ironic. It's worrisome. I was petrified." He said one officer insisted on standing in his bedroom while he got dressed before being taken outside. The officer saw him in the nude.

Welcome to the fascist police state.

Settlements have proven to be one of the most popular aspects of Fallout 4. Of course they're going to support that audience.

Not really my cup of tea but I've seen a few people do some absolutely amazing stuff. Stuff you look at and say 'You should have been architect.'

Like this guy

When the driver woke up and asked why he was driving so fast, Carlos told him it was because the police were chasing them. Robinson demanded that Carlos pull over, but police said he refused.

Hahaha! Can you imagine? Waking up to some guy driving your car like a maniac with the cops behind you? Fucking lol!

Are people so desperate for real issues to get upset about that one NPC shopkeeper becomes a 'controversy?'

How are politics and religious issues not real issues? You know lots of people kill and die for them every day right? I don't want someone's personal political view foisted on me anymore than I want a lecture on politics or religion from my bartender at the pub. I go there for a few drinks to relax.

What is a bread tie? You mean a twist tie? Or something from a pizza place?

This DLC for Baldur's Gate has been described by the writer as a "Social Justice game". Too bad they can't ruin their own IP instead of destroying someone else's. Saved me $20 though.

I really don't want to see Beamdog get the rights to Baldur's Gate 3 though.

And that's it in a nutshell. Leave your fucking politics out of it. I play fantasy games to escape reality and its bullshit for a while.

Maybe EA should officially endorese someone(whoever pockets money to them the most or they got someone in the pockets to get favorable tax and other laws so they can get away with a killing).

That's what they do all the time. Just search for 'electronic arts political contributions' and you can see exactly what they're contributing to whom for all the publishers. They all play both sides of the field generally supporting D or R more heavily when they're favored. Interesting enough the only exception seems to be Take Two which is hardcore Democrat all the way.

"Manchester Community Technologies has just one full-time employee—its executive director, Revlyn Williams—relying on interns, a subcontractor, and workers "subsidized by a county welfare-to-work program," the Daily News article said."

And how what was the "executive director"'s pay for this. Pray, do tell. I'm guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of $440,000? Right?

And why don't these grants come with milestones that need to be checked? Why don't they come with personal guarantees stating if said work isn't completed on time and on budget that said person is personally responsible for said monies and can be fined and/or even go to jail if they don't act in good faith. This should be a condition of every grant.

Sadly, this reddit link is all true. The console strikes again.

Thanks for that. That reddit post was funny as hell. Still, I don't know why anyone is surprised. Bethsoft is a console company and has been pretty much forever now. There ports are always cheap and quick as possible.

If you needed any more reasons to stop buying any EA products, here is another. FU EA.

This is about corporate sensibilities. EA is obviously a company that supports Trump and people like him - e.g. Hillary as well. They simply don't want the appearance of such. Politics for large corporations is done behind the scenes in contributions to Super PACs and the like. When it comes to PR you want to avoid religion and politics like the plague.

yeh its definitely come a long way and changed a lot since they started.. current game is really good, the basic combat/movement mechanics are like 1000x better

took way too fucking long IMO, but at least they finally got there.. and also they delivered on many of the initial promises too

Yeah, I gave up on this thing almost 2 years ago. Another prime example of why not to buy into EA games. Well I guess I'll check it out when it's finished...whenever that is.

i recall that he's brought up before he's some kind of software developer who doesn't make much more than this and resents that the underclasses are now on equal footing with him since their jobs "don't warrant a living wage", unlike his.

That's the POV of every selfish prick. 'I deserve XYZ but fuck everyone else, let them starve!' And they're too stupid to comprehend that the race to the bottom hurts everyone in the long run. They're a perfect example of why eugenics needs to be legal.

The Panama papers are all over the news today in the UK - the BBC and The Guardian. I guess that'll hit the US over the next few days.

It's going to be really interesting to see who really owns what and how much tax the wealthy have been avoiding. Icaland's PM and the UK PM already implicated, in addition to the usual suspects (Assad, Putin, Ghadaffi, etc).

Yeah, and as usual there will be a lot of grumbling and brouhaha about it for a couple of weeks, nothing will change, and then we'll be on to the next thing. The only reason its news is because media has to make a living somehow. The vast majority of people out there don't know, don't wanna' know, and don't care.
