There are possibilities involving the Argentinian submarine situation that don't involve a catastrophic loss and the death of her sailors. Modern subs have deployable hi tech comm arrays that they float while submerged near the surface (usually around 100 -150 feet). Something like this could easily be damaged if left floating in a storm as they suspect might have hit the area where the ship was heading. Damaged ballast systems could prevent the submarine from getting to the surface to deploy its radar and radio masts that it uses for location and communications. Let's hope it's something like that and not the worst case scenario. As an ex-submarine sailor myself I feel a kinship to all other submariners world-wide as most of us in the silent service do and I REALLY hope this crew makes it home. On a side note, many modern navies use diesel boats because of their cheaper construction and upkeep, but they still can be high-tech and lethal warships. For the period of time that a diesel boat is running on its batteries, it's nigh undetectable, making it extremely dangerous.

I never knew you were a bubblehead, Prez. That's so cool! I would have liked to serve in navy but I don't think I would have been a good submariner. But I guess because 'nukular' subs are so big now it's a whole different story from what it must have been like on a sub in WWII. I've only seen a nuclear sub up close once while I was in Washington state and I couldn't believe how damn big it was. Waaaaay the hell bigger than I imagined. Did you guys do a lot of Sean Connery impersonations from Red October? Speaking of which, that's on the tube tonight so I'll give it a watch now. I'll have to watch Das Boot and Run Silent Run Deep soon too.

I can neither confirm not deny any of your statements being true and/or false.
I will state for the record, that people who are very "normal" get into some of the craziest/kinkiest/hardcore sex. Like a freight train going down hill from the top of Mt. Fuji.

And that goes the other way too. Because I was so sexually active when I was younger most people assumed I was freak, though the truth of it is I've always been very much a meat-and-potatoes man. Don't really much go in for the freaky-deaky. Then again, I never understood why just plain ol' sex was never enough for some people. It always reminds me of Woody Allen in Manhattan....

Polly: I finally had an orgasm and my doctor told me it was the wrong kind.

Ike: Did you have the wrong kind? Really? I've never had the wrong kind ever, never. My worst one was right on the money.

There are unbelievably large pools of dark money sloshing around in the fight to kill the CFRB. Organizations like the "U.S. Consumers Coalition" won't reveal their funders and their principal competitors for anti-CFRB is "Protect America’s Consumers," whose funders are also a secret. But their attack-ads, deceptive reports, and planted news stories are very visible indeed.

Can you imagine being someone who works for one of these phony groups. I mean you'd have to be a literal remorseless psycho/sociopath to do that for a living and not only not let it bother you but actually enjoy it.

And how fucking dumb do you have to be to not understand that supporting the dismantling of an agency like that is in your worst interest? I literally do not understand how all these right-wing hillbillies can possibly be that stupid and gullible. I mean if you're that moronic you are literally to dumb to be entitled to a vote. It certainly makes more clear to me why the aristocracy of old always understood that most of the masses are too ignorant to know what's best for themselves.

Much as we all love them I am concerned that their corporate culture needs a lot of improvement. Doesn't sound like a great place to work and that's a shame. They make oodles of money so there's no need for that slave driver mentality, and the products would be that much better without it. Fear only makes people do what they have to and not one iota more whereas love will make them do anything.

Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 — huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for — no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.

Effing sweet. Love those guys! Santa

I don't buy for one second that Disney white knighted for gamers, they were just caught off guard by the negative Star Wars fan reaction and put them in panic mode because they have tickets to their next movie to sell and action figures on shelves that need to move.

Exactly. Disney is zero different from EA in money being their number one priority. The only difference between the two of them is that Disney actually cares about their reputation and public perception and don't want anything done to taint it...even going so far as doing a lot of illegal shit to protect it.

Personally I don't think there needs to be a law for this.

Handicap products, are markets certain companies target. Almost all products made are NOT handicap ready. Blenders, toilets, guns etc. There are non-handicap based companies in an open market and then there are handicap variants other companies target. But not all products. Impossible.

And where do you draw the handicap line? Guy with a hitch in his gate has to be accompanied? Guy with no hands the same? And if you do draw a line somewhere, why? It's like we have a line today, you are just moving it, not encompassing all. All product need hand, feet, eye and voice controls, cause ya know there is someone out there that needs it. It's not feasible.

Games are not essential and it is silly a company has to do something like this if they don't want to, these are markets, these are freedoms, this isn't evil. And if all games have to, why not all blenders, toilets, cars and guns? It simply has to fall into the category of "life isn't fair". We can still strive to be better, but a law for all, ya no.

Yeah, well im my first resto I opened we had to install a handicapped bathroom at a cost of 5 grand. Which we couldn't afford at the time, and ended up having to blow off our keg fridge for a year because of it, and to this day I sincerely doubt that one single handicapped person - someone who would need a handicapped bathroom - has ever even entered the place. And every other business and service out there has to make accommodation for the handicapped so if we have to suck it up so should they. Most games come with subtitles already so that's not a stretch anyway. I don't know how the hell you'd make a videogame for the blind however. And it's not like the publishers couldn't afford it. It may not be fair but being handicapped is a hell of a lot more unfair. Try walking around for even one day as a blind or deaf person and you'll see.

Shit, this Feb. will be 38 years since Bon Scott died. Now that makes me feel old. I always like Brian but Bon was the man. I prefer original AC/DC because it's a long way to the top if you wanna' rock'n'roll.

Hey, come on now man, I'm sure if you had disabilities that prevented you from enjoying video games like those w/o disabilities, I would think this would not seem like 'such a rediculous idea".

If repiglicans had their way they'd be taking a page from the Nazi playbook and sterilizing and euthanizing all the handicapped. Of course the fact that most of them are mentally handicapped to a point they'd qualify for said euthanization if completely lost on them.

Well it looks great and I really like what I see so far but it's crashing like a motherfucker on my PC. Screen goes black and everything locks up forcing a hard reset. I only see this when games are unomptized for AMD systems. I have 2 dozen other games on my desktop atm and none of them do this. Hope they'll address this because I'd really like to check this game out in more detail.

But the marketplace is highly susceptible to fraudsters intent on exploiting the site's loopholes. While Amazon has taken steps to help brands protect themselves from counterfeits, it can't react quickly enough to the many tactics scammers are using to win business at the expense of legitimate sellers. The marketplace is just too big, with too much activity.

Yeah, I'm gonna' call bullshit on that one. There's nothing stopping Amazon from hiring a literal army of people to combat this sort of shit, but no, it's more important to Bezos to keep his richest man in the world title rather than employ people at a living wage in a good environment.

Actually given the massive shortage of drivers it's actually become a lot better job where drivers can set what they will and won't work. That aside I'll never understand why they weren't building more railways. It's just so much more cost-effective and efficient in the long run. Saying nothing of the environmental benefits to boot.

Misogyny on display.

I don't have any problems with people having opinions on things, but using the term "Social Justice Warrior" as an insult immediately puts you in the category of "people who think the idea of women being treated as equals is bullshit" and, frankly, beneath the time worthy of a conversation.

You could've made the point that the female-voice to male-voice ratio of stormtroopers seems out-of-whack without being a troll about it, and it would have been a perfectly legitimate criticism to make if, in fact, it is at a 3-to-1 ratio (although, let's also be fair - you are unlikely to have ever made this criticism if it was 3-to-1 in the other direction, now are you?) and one we could've had an actual discussion about.

But you're not interested in such things, because you're much more interested in calling people "SJWs" and thinking somehow that makes you interesting.

It's a shame you can't engage with people whose opinions don't mirror your own without sinking to immediate, obvious trolling. You'd likely learn quite a bit.

Or just maybe you are an SJW and people not bending to your special little snowflake view of the world triggers you into a typical shrill liberal diatribe that has no actual basis in reality. Women aren't equal. Neither are men. None of us are equal so why should people treated like that? Just because you say so? No different from the extreme-right, the extreme-left lives in some little fantasy world where everyone is supposed to hold hands and sing Kumbaya all day long - instead of doing any actual work. If you people would just shut up and stop trying to force your twisted, irrational views on everyone else than they wouldn't be complaining about how fucking irritating your type are, would they? The Universe doesn't give a fuck about what you think is fair or moral or good or bad and neither does most life on this planet.

People like you are the direct cause of rise of the right-wing. It's would be funny if it wasn't so sad that all the shit you whine about comes about entirely because of your whinging. And the fact is you're the one stirring shit up. So that makes you the fucking troll, not him. He was simply expressing his opinion. You're the one having a hissy fit and saying he's not entitled to his beliefs. Well fuck you and the PC horse you rode in on. Middlefinger
