Alien: Isolation was a bit immersion breaking at times though. The Alien could, in theory, be anywhere on the station. But often it just happened to be wherever you were. On top of that, the game divided each location into sub-maps and the Alien would always be hanging around in the sub-map you happened to be in. Some of these were fairly small making avoiding it a challenge. The strangest thing was that if you were hiding in a locker, and the Alien was outside, your could hold your breath to remain still and undetected. But as soon as you held your breath your health immediately began to drop.
