911 Operator doesn't show up as a free game offer for me. I can't find it on their store either so maybe it's a region thing?

In my mind one of the things that defined the JA games was personality. Literally. Each merc (aside from your custom merc in JA 2) had their own personality, likes, dislikes etc. They comment on what they saw and what was going on. On top of that was a well crafted game world with interesting people to meet (and sometimes shoot), good AI and top notch game mechanics.

It even says it runs on top of DOSBox. I liked this game back on the C64 but I don't know about playing it without any kind of upgrade.

Alien: Isolation was a bit immersion breaking at times though. The Alien could, in theory, be anywhere on the station. But often it just happened to be wherever you were. On top of that, the game divided each location into sub-maps and the Alien would always be hanging around in the sub-map you happened to be in. Some of these were fairly small making avoiding it a challenge. The strangest thing was that if you were hiding in a locker, and the Alien was outside, your could hold your breath to remain still and undetected. But as soon as you held your breath your health immediately began to drop.

I'd hoped for a new Suikoden game but a remaster of the first two will make a decent replacement. I wonder if Konami are starting to regret ditching some of their more popular properties?

Hopefully they aren't going to try making another MGS game. I am hoping it might be another Suikoden game.

I've been hoping Asmodee digital will start releasing more of the ticket to ride expansions in digital form. If they are moving away from the table top games this might be unlikely.

I'm guessing the current generation consoles might be showing a similar trend. I noticed that Costco had a pile of XBox series X consoles they were selling a few weeks ago while PS5 consoles are hard to come buy without paying scalper tax.

If anime and manga are to be believed then they probably don't need to fix this bug for Japanese players.

I'm certainly looking forward to a new series. I never quite enjoyed Tropico 6 as much as the earlier game admittedly. I think it was because keeping your economy in the black was a bit harder than previous games. You had to go in hard with trade deals to keep afloat.

As I recall, the designer of the games (Al Lowe) once said he'd never do a Leisure Suit Larry 4 or something like that. Then he had to make another game in the series. So he went straight to number 5 and included the in joke that the LSL 4 disks had been stolen so Larry couldn't remember what had happened to him.

Surely this is only the North America version. I've already received my copy from the UK.

I've preordered this game, but for some reason the movie isn't out in Australia until early April.

But will it have the same level of voice acting? The earlier titles sounded like they pulled random people off the street and gave them some lines to read.

The original System Shock wasn't done by LGS. I think some of people who made SS2 did work on the original but the original was all EA.

The combat in the first two games had one main problem - you could only hit the opponent you were targetting. When fighting numerous opponents you had to hope the others didn't kill you while you were hammering on their buddy.

Gothic 3 fixed this, to disasterous results. The knockback effect made certain opponents a lot hard than they had any right to be. Funnily enough you could use this to your advantage, try attacking with just your fists.

Many people might disagree, but what Gothic 3 really needed was the quest pointer from Oblivion. Too many quests had little or no directions given and required you to scour the area with a fine tooth comb.

I have real doubts about this. They are overcharging for the hard drive to try and offset the cost of all the other hardware components like the blu ray drive. That blu ray drive is the most expensive component as I understand, followed by the CPU and video chipset. Stripping off those other components will not let them drastically drop the price.

AFAIK they still haven't fixed this game to work with Geforce 8 cards - the game just locks up when it's time for the player to take control. A patch is supposed to be coming soon though.

Maybe, gold was just JA 2 and Unfinished Business rolled into one though. Wildfire might have started out as a mod but it did get published so it counts.
