Pretty much. I did reviews in the past for GameGenie.com, and when I started Out of Eight I referenced those. I started out doing a lot of indie games (developers are quite willing to get any type of coverage), and as I started accumulating more reviews and more visitors, larger publishers started sending me games as well: Matrix, Paradox, Stardock, 2K, Sega, Microsoft, THQ, et cetera. You can see the progressive trend in my reviews index. Now, I average about 1,800 hits per day, which is quite respectable in my opinion; Google searches actually bring in the most traffic, and having over 500 reviews helps as well. When I started, I got about 40 visits a day, so the popularity has certainy increased. Digital distribution makes a huge difference, as publishers are much more willing to send a download that essentially costs them nothing than a retail box that costs money to ship.
