The five-hour demo gives you a good idea of what to expect. Play on the veteran servers is a lot more organized.

WarioWare Smooth Moves has a Darts multiplayer mini-game that works well.
And if you pre-order the game through Stardock Central/TotalGaming.net, you can play the beta now anyway.
Makes you wonder how widespread this practice is, certainly with the larger review sites that rely on advertising income to pay the bills. I've never gotten pressured into changing a score; of course, I don't have near the volume or readership as those sites do. The alternative is to do what I do: not get paid.

Played the beta...
Slow pace but the potential is there. Neat building and upgrade structure, straightforward resource collection, capable AI, and a good interface. Maybe I'll go play again soon. Too much time spent playing the new GalCiv 2 expansion beta anyway.

Actually that's a 5/8. Which still may be a bit high 
At least it's not $60 for the PC like it is for the consoles.
