My video review is going up Friday (release day). It will be quite positive.

Can you give us any advance details on the co-op play? This is what I've been waiting to hear about for the game.

I haven't been able to try it out because there's nobody else online before the game comes out, but I do know the details based on the menus and such. You can set your game (when it is created) to either be competitive or cooperative. In the competitive mode, the first town on the island (which can be large enough to support up to 4 players comfortably) to complete a number of random missions, have a specific amount of cash, or research a high-level tech wins.
I'm not totally sure about how the cooperative mode works, since I can't start a cooperative game by myself: it could be that resources are shared, or just that you aren't competing against the other players and simply trying to reach a common goal. I suspect the it's latter option (like you are all trying to complete the same missions).

As for the earlier comments about the difficulty of the game: yes, it is quite easy to make a lot of money through exports. However, I have lost every game I have started either because of elections or military invasions.

Here's my video review.

From what you're saying, it's a much better purchase for people who don't own MoW:AS than those who do.
Absolutely.

I don't understand people buying DayZ.
They keep confusing it with The War Z.

How about a one sentence preview?
It's typical Supreme Ruler: good when fighting, boring when not.

I'm reviewing it now, with my video going up Friday.
The procedurally-generated levels are a good feature, but the objectives are still the same (collect six objects, go somewhere, go somewhere else) each time you play through the two-hour game. The puzzle sections are also identical each time and are very easy to complete. There's nothing difficult about the game at all, other than using up flares too quickly and running out when you are attacked. It's just a matter of time before you finish.

AoW 3 is very light on city micromanagement; the focus is more on building up your military and tactical combat.

I am also liking the game so far.

Really waiting for a review from a trusted source (yo, Jag, where you at? )
The release date snuck up on me so I'm booked with other games for the next two weeks, but it is at the top of my list once I get some openings in my schedule.

So apparently Insurgency is really good.
TB and our own Jaguar really likes it as well. Might pick it up.
Looks pretty hardcore.
I've actually uninstalled Counter-Strike in favor of Insurgency. I really like it.

I'll have my video review of this up Friday.

In short: it's different. Significant learning curve, lots of crashes into the environment, fairly chaotic battles.

I got Insurgency, fun game, great firefights.

How's teamwork and voice-chat on public servers? Is in-game chat used or Teamspeak?

In-game chat. Insurgency is quite fun!
