In vacuum?
he might be referring to the thing they did in the movie 2010 when they had to slow down and basically skimmed off the planet's atmosphere it was kind of awesome because the whole ship was shaking and everybody was shaking and shitting themselves I thought that was one of the coolest parts of the movie.

Fun game but I'm still waiting for a proper sequel with MUCH needed multi-core support.
That Star Trek mod for it is pretty great though. As long as you don't let the Borg get out of control. F'ing Borg.

A response to the issue/article is what I meant, not the people you're angry at for various reasons. Beamer is one of two people on my permanent ignore list and will never come off but JD is pretty level headed and you just disagree on this. There's really no need for "does being a SJW get you laid" type crap, that's some childish stuff.
That was a tongue firmly in cheek comment by me to break up the previously phony seriousness going on in here. Actually, living and working in the Yale portion of New Haven, one of the most liberal spots in the whole country, I see this kind of crap all the time.
There's only two people that deserve to be globally ignored, Beamer and Cutter. It's fitting because they are both on opposite ends of the idiot spectrum.
As for the article I don't disagree with any of it. Most of what they wrote sounds less like a problem for women than part of a larger problem of just plain horrible unfiltered bigots with internet access. Where's the discussion about the anti-Semitic stuff sweeping social media?

Quite frankly I haven't seen people drawing comparison to the civil rights movement in the way you claim.
You didn't read what he quoted? The guy you were arguing with didn't bring them up first, the person he was replying to was.

So why make the ridiculous comparisons that you did? You were the one who offered them.
Other people first made comparisons to racial discrimination and other major issues. If they don't want the comparison made then they shouldn't bring it up. People who are comparing those to a gender issue in video games are really sheltered in my opinion, there are much bigger problems going on in the world to devote my support to.

1960s: Those people that write about racial inequality should just shut up already. Constantly writing about it won't do anything.
Are people burning symbols on women's lawns? How many games have "men only" sections, and will beat up women if they try to play? Are there parades in city streets promoting the superiority of men over women? How many women have been literally hung for gaming?
Ridiculous comparisons only succeed in turning off those who might actually support a cause.

Just a quick life lesson from yours truly.
Men have always dominated this planet.
Men will ALWAYS dominate this planet, unless a woman creates an army strong enough to defeat man altogether (and unless there's some kind of sex wars that started and I haven't heard about it then that's probably never going to happen).
Men mostly have designed and created society and the laws that govern it.
If women want anything to change they simply have to remove all men from positions of power. And the only way that'll ever happen is if there is war against men, worldwide, and they win. The problem with this is men tend to be very good at war & in times of crisis, they band together.
So there you have it, the problem is solved, either sex war against the entire world or nothing changes. Simple really

Dude, people still bitch, on this board, this week, about not having Halo on the PC.
I must admit that I'm still butthurt that the Halo PC/Mac game that was demoed at E3 2000 never came to fruition. The open world, high player count, vehicle based multiplayer sounded incredible. Fucking Microsoft.

Beamer, I think I speak for most of us when I say that you really need to screw off. Nobody cares. The Japanese make mostly Japanese characters because, SURPRISE, they're in a culture which is almost entirely Japanese. If you have a problem with that, why not fly over there and picket outside Nintendo's home office? Surely that would make them aware that there are other cultures better than arguing with the rest of us.

I agree with him, the Oculus Rift and other current generation VR won't sell in particularly big numbers, as in, not enough to make $2B look any more reasonable. This sort of gear is very promising and I believe signals the point at which VR can exist in terms of the technology and the market, but it's not the point at which your stereotypical CoD-Bro will be in a hurry to get one. Something closer to large sunglasses will be needed for that.
I got an Oculus Rift DK1 a few days ago, it is very cool. There's definitely things which need work but it's promising. The resolution (640×800 per eye) is even more of a problem than I'd expected, I'm not so sure 1080p will be enough for CV1 any more. I felt more used to the tracking after 10 seconds than I did with TrackIR after 10 hours, this is unexpectedly impressive.

not sure your setup has more power than an xbone. xbone has an 8 core cpu and its gpu is a bit slower than yours, but same gen. and no, i doubt it could run something like star citizen at 60fps in an occulus.

EA - Titfall... sounds odd, since the first one sold well enough it releases EA from having to make TitFall 2 exclusive for the Bone.
Who makes contracts like this? Seems odd that T2 being open for the PS4 was based on good sales for the Bone and PC.

Another person interviewed at the end of that clip, the VP Of Product, refers to the consumer version as Consumer V1, so they've presumably got more in mind in the future. Not a surprise.

I get that's how economics work, but it still seems shitty. Guess we'll be seeing pour friends from the north coming down for their PS4s.
It's not even 10 cents difference between USD and CAD.
