SOMA is damned amazing. It's my favorite Frictional game by far, arguably their best work in terms of writing and overall design. Subjective review of course.
I would think SOMA is pretty much over with as a story though, so I assume it'll be some other IP.
I still haven't played it; definitely on the list. More-so now.
Not a Frictional Game, but actually sat down a couple months ago and finally finished A Machine for Pigs - I have tried 2 or 3 times since launch and never got past two hours of gameplay. It was fine I guess; I prefer the original games kind of setting for this kind of genre. I actually went on the Machine for Pigs wiki, after, to look up a few names and things so I could understand wtf had been going on with that one.
There were a few fan mods for Amnesia that all had their own spin on Alexanders story. I wouldn't mind an official take, if it can keep some of the gothic deliciousness.
