I'm all for it Intel. Go nuts, keep some pressure on AMD so they don't become what you have been for over a decade; Keep the upcoming Zen 3 and future Zen 4 prices in check.

I'm amazed by the amount of positive press this is getting. I loved the 2016 Doom and this might be my first pre-order in a very long time.

Does look like a lot of fun

It looks pretty good so far. It has the old-school vibe with some current tech. I'm not sure how useful the parkour is going to be in multiplayer though.

Literally no one plays DOOM for MP

Never did for 2016 myself. However, this new mode they've been showing off for Eternal looks like it could be a hell of a lot of fun and I will likely give it a good go. Loved 2016, I like the fast paced parkour and platforming and I appreciate they had the balls to delay the game as much as they did - looks like a day one buy.

Anyone have thoughts on this game yet? I assume it's one of those if you played the first two games you'll probably love it, otherwise if you didn't there's no point?

It actually hadn't occurred to me that this wouldn't be on PC... That sucks, I was looking forward to it.

PC is where I played FF7 in the first place.
Good ol' trapezoid box, I still have it and the discs.

BTW that PC release was June 1998, just a year after the original PSX release.

I was a regular on the Eidos message boards during the release of that port.. The fact the midi nonsense port of the music, which happened again with a future port release on steam I believe, was a point of contention about the quality of said releases. It was shit.

It's a PS4 timed exclusive till March 2021, if they stick to that, so that's unfortunate. I am also not sure how I feel paying full price for 1/3 (give or take) of the original game - granted they're apparently adding additional content for all three releases.

SOMA is damned amazing. It's my favorite Frictional game by far, arguably their best work in terms of writing and overall design. Subjective review of course.

I would think SOMA is pretty much over with as a story though, so I assume it'll be some other IP.

I still haven't played it; definitely on the list. More-so now.

Not a Frictional Game, but actually sat down a couple months ago and finally finished A Machine for Pigs - I have tried 2 or 3 times since launch and never got past two hours of gameplay. It was fine I guess; I prefer the original games kind of setting for this kind of genre. I actually went on the Machine for Pigs wiki, after, to look up a few names and things so I could understand wtf had been going on with that one.

There were a few fan mods for Amnesia that all had their own spin on Alexanders story. I wouldn't mind an official take, if it can keep some of the gothic deliciousness.

And as someone already pointed out: ALL NEXT GEN GAMES WILL BE OPTIMIZED FOR AMD HARDWARE.

Shouldn't that be the case now? Both the PS4 and Xbox One use AMD CPUs and GPUs (APUs)... I guess the difference is when then those systems came out AMD didn't have anything competitive in the market, and thus someone might care this time?

Same theatre I saw the movie in, ScotiaBank Theatre on Burrard in Vancouver. Was at a different showing that day though.

I mean...the guy has a point or two. You just don't behave like that, handle it like that. A dude with a cellphone ruined your experience...well you just ruined an entire theatres experience and probably scared the shit out of some children there that will never forget it.

Looking forward to the 4000 series - that said I hope Intel does not fall super behind, otherwise we might end up in the same spot that we've been in for years with shit refreshes and no innovation. We need the Desktop/Laptop competition to continue.

Never played the original - anyone here at Blues hyped for it? Was the original a good one?

Never had played RE2 either, but loved the remake. I'm one of those people where one of their favorite games of all time is RE4, having never played any of the previous titles.
