Post about DOOM Eternal and all comments are about DOOM 64. Lol stay retro folks.

Laugh2

Some youtubers who I enjoy their content have had nothing but good things to say about this game. More specifically the fan made stuff I guess. I want to give it a shot before Eternal, but I guess it's packaged with it somehow on launch.

I would imagine it has mouselook and other configurable controls. All the fan made stuff does. But no, I can not confirm.

Edit: I am getting pretty pumped for Eternal. The last couple weeks have been rough, for everyone of course. Hoping for a smooth launch and a fun Thursday and Friday Night (apparently it launches Thursday at 9pm PST ) Looking forward to Res Evil 3 and Trials of Mana afterwards.

Anyone know if Doom 64 is available now as the preorder bonus on either Steam or Bethesda Launcher?

Yep, how dare people not put their health at risk so you can have your games patched faster? It's clearly all a hoax, just so they can refuse to fix their games right? I mean, it's not like the majority of businesses are shutting their doors right now or forcing people to work from home, and countless people have been laid off from jobs that they don't even know will still exist when this is all over.

Yes, it's all an excuse.

COVID delaying patches, fine. No qualms at all.

Ultimately, there is no excuse the game launched in the state it was and still is. Period.

No one can work from home at your company, eh?

No, unfortunately (Liquor Store and Neighborhood Pub)

Stay healthy out there everyone.

F**in Cantha... I imagine Bubbles will finally show his/her face(s)..

fwiw, if you haven't played the game, the base game/expansion(s) are absolutely worth the purchase. They're packaged together in some sort of unholy union I can't remember about.

It's the continued support of the game that has caused "some" drama over the last 7 or so years. For the price, the, albeit flawed, personal story and the expansion storylines and accompanying content are worth the purchase.

A third Guild Wars 2 expansion was confirmed a few hours ago to be in development. MIxed feelings, I strongly believe it's too little too late for this game (which I have some many thousands of hours played according to my account history).

Well sure. So has everyone else on the internet; including my posts this morning. It would be so substantially cheaper, and so much more well controlled, why wouldn't they? Nintendo (and others) have owned it for years successfully.

Well, yeah, it's easy to write that now because Hindsight is 20/20.

I was referring to this site alone. I hadn't seen anyone else on BN explicitly say what the outcome of E3's closure is. I was the first in the E3 cancellation thread to write, "Publishers are going to move to video streaming to announce their products." Ubisoft's "exploring offering a "digital experience" in its place" is "Publishers are going to move to video streaming to announce their products" as the direct result of E3's closure due to COVID-19.

Acknowledged, and fair enough.

dark descent was awesome, I only played it when my friend was over it was that scary, didn't play machine for pigs because should probably give that a go. Excited for this new release but the trailer looked a bit boring

Machine for Pigs was fine, I guess. Sorta messy.

I had to spend an hour on the Amnesia Wiki after beating the game to actually understand wtf was going on, from the story to the chars to the events that happen in the game. The in-game notes are confusing as hell, IMO. For what it's worth, I did end up caring enough to actually have spent the hour on the Wiki to try and understand it. The Dark Descent, however, it was not. Not even close. Long live Dark Descent.

Could have waited one more month, no?

Probably not? June isn't very far away. These things require a ton of money, organizing and planning. That goes for everyone, from finding hotels and flights (which I suppose won't be to hard right now) to etc etc etc everything related to a massive expo.

I'm blown away Linus is going ahead, for now, with LTX 2020, ballsy. These game, technology and entertainment expos - rife with some that could not give a second thought to personal hygiene.

Just look at all the people still going on cruises because they aren't being given refunds. Same is happening for people that bought non-refundable travel to canceled events.

Worried

Well, it's for the best if so. Hopefully everyone takes the Nintendo Direct & Digital Revolver approach and releases online/prerec presentations for there stuff. I think NVidia is doing that since GDC is done. Think Microsoft was going to go all-in this E3, kinda feel bad for them.

If anything, at least we won't have to listen to the employees of these companies screaming, shouting and clapping like idiots from the front row every time something happens.

Article / Billy Khan tweet accidentally on purpose does not confirm the actual resolution at 60fps; furthermore will not know what sacrifices (if any) were made to hit that framerate until some website does a full comparison of all the release versions.
