R6:Vegas is using UE3, so its easier to port direct to the pc. R6:Vegas pc is shader model 3 only tho. As for the cover system its been said theres a key (could be rebound to say right mouse button) that toggles cover mode, you then use wasd to pop out of cover.

I hope GRAW 2 has been upgraded to UE3 instead of the modified 2.5 engine used for the 1st one, as that mean we might get a direct port by redstorm, instead of the multiplayer mess that GRAW 1 was on the PC.

Anything that means developers stop integrating gamespy code into their games is a major plus for me. I find it laughable that you have to jump through so many hoops just to create a damn login account on most gamespy supported games.

PC games need a big shakeup.

Its getting bad when setting up IRQ and DMA settings for your soundcard and making sure you had enough base memory in DOS seems easy compared to the stuff you need to get games working reasonably today.

Give me an XBOX360 + mouse & keyboard, and i'd never use the PC for gaming again. Hopefully this is the first step in turning the home PC into a closed system like a console, sure it'll be more expensive, but stuff will just work. And tbh, my time is more valuable these days.

You can play the entire single player campaign via 4 player co-op.

The normal multiplayer is a 32 player multiple objective mode, basically the basic idea of the MP is like onslaught in ut2004, i.e. the connected points. You can only capture points that are connected to your existing capture points.

You can make out the capture points in the top right of this photo someone snapped at a recent demo at a lan in the uk.

Another ubisoft upcoming game, GRAW PC will also have no starforce as well. I understand a post on the French ubi forum indicates that all future ubisoft games are not using starforce....um here...
