How about adding things to do, including dungeons that DON'T SUCK?

Game has so much potential with a lot of good idea's, but feels extremely shallow and unfinished when it comes to gameplay and things to do.

They figured it was better/longer than their crappy ass DLC's, so they were like… maybe we can charge the muppets $45 for this.

Then they were like, how else can we troll these muppets... and the box art / villains were born.

End well this will not.

Meh, the newer versions of UT have been extremely underwhelming.

All they need to do is sell the 'UT Announcer Pack' in Fortnite and they'd make a killing, much more so than they'd make developing another generic shooter.

So many butt hurt old timers ITT.

Some people find it enjoyable because a) It's competitive b) Having one life and outliving 99 other players is a lot more challenging and rewarding than just trying to top a scoreboard round, after round, after round, after round... or killing mindless AI in some boring ass single player game with a lame story that's been told 10,000 times before.

Also, a large map with random end zones makes the game feel a lot more dynamic than your typical 10 feet square sized 'maps' found in shooters, that never really change, have 'out of bounds', and are on endless repeat...and when you do kill someone, chances are they will be back in your face 30 seconds later. Then there's the modes that are just musical chairs with cap points, yay?

Not only that, but the BR genre allows you to pretty much play a competitive shooter in co-op with some friends and not be punished for it.

The way i see it is BR is simply the next evolution of the competitive shooter genre, which lets be honest, has been stagnant and boring AF since Quake World.

Also, who doesn't enjoy wrecking a 10 year in a $50 skin that he spent 6 months of his life begging his mom for?

Now get off my damn lawn and get with the times.

Try the Tiny Tina DLC, that definitely had some funny moments...

If another B game is coming I am waiting for reviews and a deep discount. The prequel was really disappointing.

Wasn't it made by some other company? I didn't even bother with it TBH, even at 70% off.

No thanks, 2 hours in the beta was more than enough.

Can't stand games with ridiculously low TTK anymore.

-edit- got at invite into the Anthem Alpha though.

The is the closest BF has felt to Call of Duty for me so far.

Despite all the new tactical and squad play elements, the ridiculous low Time To Kill sorta nullifies them all.

This ^.

Not sure how anyone enjoys competitive multiplayer in games where fights are over in a second flat.

Hopefully they adjust this for the BR version of they can keep it as well. May as well just stick with COD if you want than console gaming experience...

And lol at raytracing in it's current form, 4k makes a much bigger difference than 'cute reflections' (as someone here nailed it) and with a much lower performance hit to boot.

What can a pc do that a console does not these days?

For starters it can run games at much better quality, higher resolutions, with actual anti aliasing, G-sync, and at more than a vomit inducing 30 FPS?

Oh yeah, and there's more than 10 games available - 99% of the original stuff these days is done by indies on steam.

I'm not sure what M$ is thinking here, Obsidian pretty exclusively makes cRPGs, a genre that has never done well on consoles.

Still.. sucks. Not every game of theirs was a success, but Obsidian (and many of it's developers) have been involved in making some of the best RPGs in gaming history.

Maybe they see it starting to change. Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity, and Divinity Original Sin all have console versions and apparently they did well enough to have their sequels come out (or about to come out) on the same consoles. Has to be a viable market there if these companies are willing to pump money into porting and Q&A for them.

I recently developed bad carpal tunnel in my right hand and can't play the CRPGs I always have since mouse movement gives me pain. Due to this, I grabbed Pillars of Eternity on Xbox and was amazed at how well it controlled. Same for Wasteland 2. Though Divinity Original Sin 2 has fully integrated gamepad controls on PC, most of these CRPGs do not. It's really helped me continue to play these games even though I no longer am able to hold a mouse. Good for gamers well into their 40s like myself.

Though it's not due to that, I think Microsoft just sees CRPGs moving to the console in much the same way JRPGs have begun to move to the PC. Both the PC and console are so similar now as platforms, that there exists no reason why one style of game would be considered better suited for one over the other. Especially if that rumor about the next Xbox having mouse support in games is true.

Just a thought.

Try the 3M vertical mouse, or switch your mouse to your other hand (took me about 3 days to get used to it). I can't even pickup a regular mouse these days without getting pain in my hand.
