Apparently you can be easily satisfied with a ship a world a sandbox and literally no content aside from 3 repeating quests thoughSo clearly a lot of games are in your ballpark ^^

@Ventry, nice country you got there mate.
It's bloody great mate!!!
However, we, as it is with most "western" countries, are being invaded by limp wristed, snowflake, lefty fun police.
The battle continues.
Aren't you US citizens lucky to have Donald Trump as POTUS.
He slaps the taste right out of those snowflakes mouths.
Trump 2020
Shapiro 2024.

Here's hoping The Expanse can be picked up too. If there was any reason to give a shit about SyFy it's surely gone now.

I think that all people, terminally ill or not, should have access to a humane and comfortable death if they've decided they are done. A mandatory waiting period of 30 days or so should hopefully keep impulsive suicides down and ensure only people who really want out are using it.
There is no reason we should be telling someone they have to keep living when they don't want to, or force them to kill themselves in an unreliable (and potentially messy) way that could put a burden on other people or leave them in an even worse state.
Some people are in immense amounts of pain. Others suffer from untreatable mental illness. Others just don't have a lot to live for and even just existing from day to day becomes tiresome. I have nothing but sympathy for these people and I'd never ask them to keep going because of some hollow platitudes about things getting better.

Why no? They have done a fucking great job of turning that ship around and the engineering of the Xbox One X blows the PS4 pro out of the water. I only got a PS4 Pro for God of War (great game I admit) and it's crazy how loud that thing gets. IMO it's always good to have some competition.Flo wrote on Apr 27, 2018, 02:01:CJ_Parker wrote on Apr 26, 2018, 20:22:

That fan noise is bad enough on the PS4 normal. I need my noise canceling headphones and a few meteres gap between me and the machine to make it bearable. (Game is still amazing. Frame rate issues fixed by restarting the machine on the two occasions it happened in 30 odd hours of gameplay and counting that I have loved every minute of.) I think Sony's awesome engineering is starting to slip.
Though not as bad as Microsoft's software team. That Xbox UI (And the windows app) are trash. Something they got so right the first time on the X360 and yet somehow forgot how to do it? I'm keeping my eye out for a cheap S just to catch up on my old man stories (Halo), have my XBLA library/backwards compatibility and be able to play Forza and Sea of Thieves with more family members but I'm surprised they are making any money on that thing. I guess they were able to grow the market enough last time out that they can flog low margin/subsidised hardware and still make bank from a distant second place in market share.
You do realize that you can play Forza on PC with Xbone players, yes? Only games where the pc gets a distinct advantage do they block crossplay. I don’t know about Sea of thieves, it doesn’t seem like a game that cares about accuracy much, so it may have full crossplay. Gears of War 4 allows co-op crossplay modes but not adversarial.
And you don’t have to pay for a Gold account to play it from PC, so there’s that nice bonus.
That statement about Forza involves both Forza 7 and Horizon 3.

So does this mean they've "remastered" the controls? I got Dark Souls 2, played it for a minute or two and immediately turned it off. I don't play console games and I don't use the game pad so for me, Dark Souls was not very well optimized when it came to controlling the game.

Apparently, EA doesn't even make money from this. Yes, you read that right. They recoup all the development costs and then everything after that goes straight to the developer.
That....that doesn't seem like something EA would ever consider doing. Where's the part where they buy the Indie studio, forcing them to make weak sequels until they're no longer profitable, and then dissolve the studio?

Was there any news on why this started out at 29.99? Hitting 1 million sales seems like a big deal, I don't remember much about the original and didn't know they were making a sequel...
And how come Warhammer keeps getting kick ass games but Warhammer 40k keeps missing the mark? Can we start asking companies that put out good Warhammer games to follow up with a 40k add on or something?
Getting really fucking jealous over here.
FFS, even blood bowl is more fun than most 40k games I've tried lately.
Well, need to remember, GW's Golden Boy for 40K [THQ] went under and was chopped up/sold off. So now they're kind of casting a wider net, but limiting what can really be done.
We've had a few different games since then that are good, but hard to hold interest in. [Battlefleet Gothic: Armada springs to mind.] And they'll sell regardless if they're good or not, because people love the IP for 40K.
It'd be GREAT if we got more 'Space Marine'-type games, rather than more RTS games. We've got Inquisitor on its way and I'm assuming a number of others in the works. I enjoyed Deathwing for what it was, but it needed more. Hell. I'd be happy if another company got their hands on the 40K IP and the assets for that MMO that they were working on 8 years ago. Or, a proper Planetside2 clone [Not Eternal Crusade. That ... mmm. -.-]
And I just snagged Blood Bowl, so may take a poke at that. Heard the RNG likes to pin players down and bone them. -.-

That's more like it. I was shocked at their response to the outcry from unhappy customers - basically that there was a plan to soon have a plan - indicating that at least someone at Rare (or maybe Microsoft?) genuinely thought the game was fine as is at launch and were surprised at the discontent, which is simply astounding.

Assuming my only interest is in WW2 and I'm looking for something that can feel realistic without needing to go through a 25-step checklist just to start the engine, should I go with this or the latest IL-2 (or something else entirely)?
I've been out of the "sim" game for over a decade; didn't have space for a flightstick on my desk anymore...
I would go for it, the normandy map is my favorite. It really is beautiful. There is a quick-start shortcut for all planes so you can skip the long start procedures (its windows + home...I think, I use voice attack so not sure on exact keys, sorry).
