BF1943:

What happened to it? They hyped it, sold it, then - forgot it. Absolutely nothing new for it, patch or DLC has been released soon after it came out - and it came out ages ago (in the gaming world).

So far I see:

Those for keeping/having such a scene in a game are more interested in freedom to do what they like. In other words - don't control me, let me control what I want. You may be moralistic, but you do not like being told what to do.

Those against the scene in the game are more moralistic rather than pro - do what we like. You too may enjoy freedom of what you want, but feel some things go too far.

I'm in the - this is going too far group. GTA etc. are blatant fantasy, comedic games, Oblivion etc. All fantasy. CoD MW's aim is realism, not fantasy, modern warfare as the name states, and that is where our moral alert kicks in.

I will skip it. I want to play a game, not participate in a massacre of unarmed civilians.

This really is an unnecessary feature Infinity Ward. We do not need to get so emotional in a game.

Teehee:)

Really?! Then there must be SO MUCH hacking going on, and Blizzard's protection of player accounts so weak.

Sounds like Blizzard trying to scare people into staying away.

No I do not play this game.

I have no idea nor have ever heard of 'Space Siege', and not to be honest, it sounds CRAP.

Keep it STEAM, obviously you're not selling so don't be dumping.

"The game's so bad that they have to leak it to generate headlines? They should stop insulting people and simply release it for free."

This is exactly what my friend and I were talking about a couple of weeks back, the game looking pretty crap in the graphics department so discussing what they'll do to generate interest and EXCUSES!

I am so not surprised that something 'bad' has happened, in order to... Delay the release for a major rehaul? This is a great excuse to sell the publisher and so bide more time to 'save' the code and change it.

Honestly, the movies of the game so far have looked LAME.

Yes HG:London was a MMO game in a persistent world.

Yes the lifetime subscribers were total idiots when we ALL knew and acknowledged that the game was not at all ready for release, prior to release, yet the a$$ lickin' fanboys wanted to 'help' the developers out of pity. And even months down the line, they still defended the developers...

That game could have been great, but turned out to be a bug-ridden, SERIOUSLY bug-ridden, total lack of content, repetitious pile of poop, that fanboys STILL defend... Moronic nutters infest the gaming world.

WoW is still going strong... Sadness.

Kudos for a fine piece of gaming goodness to Bohemia. This is the kind of game that sets PC games apart from the console games, showing how much more is and can be done with the PC platform.

Unfortunately though for me, and most others in the world, I no longer have the cash flow to keep up with the more frequent hardware purchasing required to run such games well.

I bought OpFlash back in the day from the start and loved it for a very long time. But now, older, more things to do in life, no longer have the serious amount of time required to play this very in-depth game, let alone make it look pretty with my MacBook Pro - dual-booting Windows 7.

It is indeed a high quality game, but it also, as ever, alienates the majority who do not have the hardware to run it, nor even play it as it does indeed require serious commitment to get the most from it.

I will be buying OpFlash 2 instead (PS3), because it will work well, look good, and allow me to be more casual with it: too many other important things to do in life.

Arma 2 is for the new generation of young people with money to burn on high-end PC's, and heaps of time to play;)

Not as stable as Vista or XP yet, but in very good condition the build of Windows 7 is. I use it as my one and only main OS and it seems fine. The only issue I have is broken Media Player 12 that refuses to uninstall and cannot be replaced. I have indeed tried the rollback to 11 fix, which does not work for me.

I did, and politely uninstalled after one game:)

The auto-save check points occur at key points in the game. How long you take between those points depends on how you play the game. If you want to auto-save quickly, then you will be forced to move quickly... Try moving quickly with this character and you'll be re-playing parts far more often than I am at a slow pace.

Just wait for the reviews if you cannot believe me. And yes, this game is almost forcing you to play with a gamepad too.

Fine, replay entire parts where you spent up to 30 minutes playing carefully only to meet one little mistake, and then have to re-do the entire thing, another 30 minutes...

Poor system of disguising too. Go even near an enemy soldier & BAM they open fire on you, dressed as one of them, without even a "Papers please", lame. Hitman does this way better at least having the AI question you first.

This is one of those games that starts out "Wow! Beautiful scenery, nice gameplay!" Promptly followed by, "Wow! I have re-do that part a third, fourth time... Five metres away and the enemy KNEW I was their enemy even though dressed as one of them."

Not to mention the Melee system is downright CRAP. For a woman so skilled with a knife from behind, she suddenly becomes somewhat spasticated when facing an enemy.

No quicksave: very frustrating having to replay small but tough sections gets tedious fast.

Second, the reviews (notably Gamespot) based their review on this terrible experience.

Tis your own fault. Any other well-made PC game requires unique serial keys etc. to play MP - SP easy yes, but MP no. Clearly you created a poorly secured MP service. Blame yourselves.

I would definitely be more inclined to purchase more of my games rather than d/l some of them if they were cheaper. The amount of money I have WASTED on awful games that should never have been released is crazy. Recently I bought a $60 game that was more like a $30 game at best, so I d/l'd another game just to make up for my loss - that game I traded after playing a full 10 minutes, and got less than half my money back.

Nowadays I find more and more absolute tripe being released in comparison to say, eight years back, when quality surpassed quantity. Now it's all about quantity.

For Warren: The full price I paid for Deus Ex 1 was worth absolutely every penny paid. Thank you for that masterpiece.

Definitely true this, everytime I'm in the shops checking out the games, there are now always more people (men) checking out 360 games than PS3 or Wii. DS of course mainly young women.

Even the 360 game shelves have more games new/second hand than the PS3/Wii.

Funny how just a couple of years back I watched Japanese people simply ignore the 360 section, but gradually, they are blocking my view to get my 360 games!
