Played this for 7 hours so far. Seems pretty decent. Not run into any bugs or crashing. Good graphics and sound. In game movies are nicely done and not overly long. Voice acting is quite good.
Some things in the game could be better explained but its not a major problem. So far the gameplay is fun.
Have occasionally experienced a little frustration with line of sight issues. I go to take a shot but my cover is in the way. Or I move to get sight on an area but I have to move way too close to get it to happen. |

Sounds like for #3 they want to re-use the PlanetSide 2 code with added in PlanetSide Arena code.
Doubt PlanetSide 3 will ever happen. #2 wasn't enough of a continuing success. Which is a shame. |

Bought this today. Its great and frustrating! Do really good. Suddenly die. Start over.
The wands and their spells take a while to completely understand. |

Visually looks better than other similar voxel games. Doing voxels in a game thats truly a MMO would be something new. |

"And we are putting in place production changes that will provide for clearer project vision as well as a significant post-production period that will further relieve pressure and anxiety on teams during development."
Clearer project vision makes sense. Significant post-production period? Which will relieve pressure and anxiety. Huh? Sounds like they plan to fix things in post production. |

Nobody did believe it was this flawed or this broken "Testing? Fuck no, we didn't do any testing! We're Just Another Shitty EA Studio now, EA studios don't fucking TEST! Get the fuck out of here, entitled player!" Read the article. Years before release the devs talked to management a bunch about the problems. What was brought up was not taken seriously by their management. Then they entered a long crunch time and didn't have time to address anything non-critical. |

Assuming that, what would you rather have - a buggy mess on Steam or a polished product on Epic? I guess we'll just have to wait for the reviews to see if it was worth it. Yes, this is a win for me as a backer. They have more money to spend on the game's development.
Epic also takes a much smaller percentage than Steam. Higher returns for game developers is a good thing. |

I like an occasional tower defense. The maps shown in the screenshots don't look interesting. Not a large number of tower types either. |

Some progress stopping bugs haven't been patched in more than a month. Support forum seems to show other people running into a lot of smaller bugs.
Missions get a little repetitive.
Otherwise its a real nice strategy game. |
