Quite fun when you get used to the clunky controls but why do I need to press a key to pick up money and items, that was a stupid design decision.

I want to hear that the full version doesn't have the pop-up's as they were not just saying buy the game, they had story text on them as well so they could well be in the full version.

I just wanted to say that Guild Wars isn't a proper MMO because it's instanced and you cant jump and it has a low level cap. There, now that's out of the way this thread can hopefully proceed without it going the way of ever other Guild Wars discussion on the web.

GW2 looks like it's shaping up nicely, I was going to avoid it after the horrible amount of time the first one sucked up from me, but I'm liking what I hear more and more, I'll probably end up getting it if it's not too grindy.

If they are releasing these guides digitally then cam we expect them to get updated along with the games to stop them being so hopelessly out of date like the print versions?

Seriously though, why do people even need these guides, 90% of modern games treat you like a lobotomised moron and hold your hand most of the way through anyway.

Isn't that three more than you could for the PC when Steam first launched?

For fucks sake, what the fuck is a Bioware point? Can't they just sell this stuff for real money. I'm sick of these bullshit currencies so my own real currency is staying in my bank account thanks.

After the huge fuck-up that was the last free weekend which just resulted in a lot of of wasted bandwidth and frustration just trying to download the thing off of Steam and then still not being able to play it, I think I'll give this one a miss and play some BFBC2 instead.

If you want something a bit better than on board audio, the Asus Xonar range is the best alternative to Audigy cards for gamers as it is the only non Creative card that has full EAX support (via some sneaky tricks).

I've been very happy with my Xonar DX for the past 12 months, it's miles better than my old Audigy with it's shitty flakey drivers.

If Ubisoft are suddenly so concerned with the environment perhaps the could give us some data on what kind of carbon footprint their DRM servers leave behind?

Unless of course they generate their own power using biomass of the bullshit generated by their PR dept.

Actually their DRM scheme is quite green as it renders their games unsaleable to me they can save on the manufacturing of the disk, packaging, shipping and the electricity I would have used playing them.

Way to go you brave Ubi eco-warriors!

I'm so glad that this has been cracked so early, not because I want to see the game pirated but because it demonstrates to Ubi that this draconian shit is just as useless as any other DRM.

Where do they go from here though, I cant imagine how they can make a more intrusive DRM system than this unless they include a proctologist with ever future game to shine a torch up your arse while you play.

They just charge basically what everyone else does.

That would depend on where you are, buying new release games from Steam in the UK is expensive, they generally sell for the equivalent of the RRP store price, which in reality nobody ever pays (unless they're stupid). For a new release I can usually pick up a physical copy of a game for around £10 less than it sells on Steam, without spending a great deal of effort shopping around.
I'm a sucker for those weekend deals and the winter sales though

You would think that with ScruRom being such a contentious issue with Bioshock that they would want to communicate a little more clearly as to whether the game has activation limits, unless of course they plan to include them and not say anything until the game is in the post/preloaded, like last time.

I may pick up the PS3 version from the bargain bin sometime around 2012 if the game is worth playing, I don't want those layers of crapware anywhere near my PC.

lets just pretend that this isn't investment baiting vapour ware for a moment, aside from the concerns of lag and the fact that current gen consumer broadband just won't be up to the job, what kind of capacity will they have to actually host the games? I cam see people logging on wanting to play Crysis 3 and Doom 5 and being told that they are in a queue for the next 2 hours and would they like to play bejewelled instead.

Oh great, pay extra for extra maps.....Here we go again....

Well, this is the same company that did a U turn on dedicated servers after the MW2 shitstorm (and then pretended they were always going to provide them all along), so if there is enough fuss they may release the extra maps for for free too.

Please don't let this game suck. I'm a huge fan of the series, T2 was the best so far but the other 2 were great too, Return to the haunted cathedral from T1 gold and The Cradle from T3 are the scariest levels ever put into a game.

Actually, they patched it to include multiplayer, not that many people actually used it.

At the time shipping a game without multiplayer, even if the style of the game didn't lend itself to it, would invoke all kinds of nerd rage so they bowed to the pressure and patched it in.

It would be kind of like releasing a game today without dedicated server support or releasing one last year with harsh DRM.

With all the shit that was flying around about MW2 and the news breaking around the same time that AVP2 wouldn't have dedicated server support either, you would have thought that rebellion would have been all over it in a flash to score some publicity instead of waiting until now.
This smells of a U turn, a very welcome one though
