I couldn't even get my "free" DLC that came with the game to work properly, The stone prisoner fails to put the location on my map for the quest and my blood dragon armour just didn't show up.
A bit of googling reveals these to be common problems and despite a lot of messing around, I could never fix them.
What do you think the chances of me actually paying for some DLC is?

It's the lack of consistency with Valve that I find annoying, if they were the type of company that kept quiet about every release than I could understand the lack of communication regarding the HL series.
With other IP's they seem to have no problem spilling the beans, look at portal 2 for instance, I'm deliberately avoiding any info about the game now as they are in danger of spoiling it for me.

With it being a single player only mode, why can't they leave Last man on Earth in the game full time?
The best way that MS could commit to PC gaming would be to stay the hell away from it and shit can GFWL.

If you didn't finish the original Bioshock you missed 90% of the reason for playing it. It is one of the few games you have to finish to get anything out of.

I enjoyed the first one but I got caught out by the DRM, I already had it pre-ordered on Steam before they announced it. I gave 2 a miss because of this but I may pick it up on the PS3 from the bargain bin to avoid GFWL and the DRM on the PC version.

I had zero problems with GFWL for Fallout 3, GTA4 and Batman because as soon as I saw that it was included with those titles I bought them for the PS3 instead.
I only played the first half but it looks like they ported Mirrors Edge levels into the Crysis engine.

I really want GSB but I am so time poor, I have a huge backlog of games to play as it is.
Maybe if Cliffski came round and did some jobs around my house, watched the kids and kept the wife off my back then I might get around to it.

One of the better mutations so far though, I steamed through Dark Carnival with a big silly grin on my face last night, I must have seen at least 8 people getting the Tank Burger achievement too.
I have only played one GFWL title on PC, Gears of War and it will be the last one I play too. I chose to buy GTA4, Fallout 3 and Batman AA for the PS3 just so I could avoid it.
Now i can see it as a feasible alternative to people who can afford a fast internet connection but dont want to upgrade their PC's every year or so.
I think if people can afford the kind of bandwidth that will be needed to play onlive games at anything like a reasonable resolution and for the amount of time the average PC gamer plays, being able to afford to upgrade their PC every year would be a trivial expense.
I have stopped upgrading out of habit myself, the PC I have at the moment plays everything I want just fine, aside from adding more ram and a bigger HD, it's exactly the same machine that it was when I built it three years ago.
