Trump won the election by a margin of like 80,000 votes that just happened to swing the EC in his direction. Despite losing the popular vote by millions.

I love reading the huge number of posts in that thread that mention cancelling preorders. Just like I love the overall negative review rating from thousands of players of NBA 2K18 and Modern Warfare Remastered. It's about time consumers started pushing back against the never-ending stream of bullshit coming from publishers these days. Fuck EA, Fuck 2K, and Fuck Activision.

How about a Xbox one X enhanced patch? Considering the PS4 pro got [one], and the game is only 8 months old... NOPE!
Still a good franchise, whatever you think of the ending of ME3. I like developers who take chances, even if I don't like the outcomes, I think it's overall too rare with popular culture.
I can't honestly say I'd feel so much better if I just beat the bad aliens, restored peace to the galaxy, got a space mansion, and was awarded a bunch of medals and a million space bucks from the space government etc....

MMo's take way to much time to level by yourself. If you can get into a group of people and charge through raids, or flash points or any area's where you gain huge xp. I would say do it. I remember playing AION and I stopped because the XP amount got into the millions at a mid level. Talk about a grind fest. If this goes f2p I will give it a try.

Accurate representations of the game are not what gets eyeballs on your game. Otherwise trailers would just be a list of game features and/or a story prologue. He draws a parallel to movie trailers saying "They don't just play a violent scene from the movie!" No, but they also need to show the trailer on broadcast television. If they didn't have to worry about that, movie trailers would absolutely be less kid-friendly.
Movie trailers are often very poor representations of what's in a film. Showing only the most actiony bits, and scenes that aren't even in the final cut because they make for a good trailer but a shit film.
Marketing material isn't meant to be educational or informative, it's meant to increase sales. It's the job of people who review products and conduct interviews with creators to get us the information we want.

Carentan. Sigh. That reminds me of when CoD was good (UO not 2). I guess the first paid map will be a Nuketown reskin. CarpetBombtown?

No, I'm lurking a bit but having some health issues atm so focusing on that. Sigh, getting old sucks. Yeah, unlike ol' Monty there I seriously doubt I'll be making it to 96. Damn, he was married for 70 years, lucky man. Sounds like a pretty charmed life. We should all be so lucky. Oh well, it's like Indy said, "It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage."

Yeah, I still recall going from BBS' and Door games to MUDs to graphical MUDSs to MMOs. I probably still had the best times in MUDs. Small, tight communities, using your imagination, difficult as hell, a lot of attachment and sense of accomplishment.
It's amazing how Garriot let Ultima fall by the wayside.
