Am I the only one finding it hilarious they need to release a new KERNEL to support a single USB device?

Or was it previously supported and needed hacks and this is just the sane version of that?

I think it is just a result open-source drivers being bundled with the kernel source code. It may be possible to build this module against an earlier kernel if it did not require any fancy new interface in the kernel to get it working.

I guess this would work for environmental lighting. So basically anything that the player doesnt really influence or cant influence, like the sun, or local lamps or anything that is rendered in a loop. Makes sense. Its also like 5% of an entire scene that needs to be rendered so I guess we will see how exactly this will benefit end-users. Not by much if were to hazard a guess.

They show latency for various types of render so it looks like this could be used for things the player influences as the lighting data is streamed back to the clients. I think the real problem is the latency makes this impractical for lightning that is changing very quickly.

How is it even possible they took $6453, the banks are supposed to go by the amount written out in words, not the number in the box.

I read somewhere this was paid via the customer's bank's bill paying service. They apparently typo and forgot the decimal point.

Awsome. Can we just get a version of the site design for phones with smaller screens like the iPhone and the g1 (android)?

If enough people cared about companies being less than truthful and actually stop buying their products we might see less of it.

Ah, the demo was way too easy. At least the puzzle didn't involve distracting somebody.

On the plus side the game runs very well and it maintains a point and click interface versus having 3d controls. I'm interested to hear about the length and quality of the rest of the episode.

I personally like to buy complete stories and not serials, however, the average game is running around 2.5x the price of this episode. For a similiar amount of content, cheaper, and more frequently I might just bite.
