Perhaps there is some arcane law that prevents selling games to the US?

Perhaps we should ask our resident DJ Know it all.

That huge link on the top right of their site labeled "INTERNATIOAL" should have been the first clue.

Oh dont even bother, mr nitpick. It appears your life revolves around games. Why dont you go out once in a while or read a book and expand your horizons? I know it requires you to actually excert effort to get out of that armchair in mamma's basement but seriously its worth it.

You better be prepared to give up gaming because in a connected world you are going to have to live with it as we all move there.

Better start planning or storing those Spectrum games in your nucluar bunkar because nobody will give a fuck about you. I dont already

I think your symptoms are the side effect of watching too many "Turboload" games from the 80's that flash the screen in an array of colours as they load from tape.

You can nit pick all you want, fact of the matter is Steam suits my needs quite nicely, you obviously dont like it, fine by me but quit your fucking arguing down that it doesnt suit my fucking needs. You have no fucking idea what my needs are and what I like.

If I am on a plane, I read a damn book. Get a fucking life outside of your games. Anyway on some routes you can use mobiles and I just call my companies internal helpdesk worldwide and say "gimme a access connection" and I get it instantly. ANYWAHERE IN THE FUCKING WORLD FOR FREE and anyway with data connections and roaming agreements, who gives a shat. Fucking hell wise up with your tearing appart something you dont like, heres an idea, QUIT FUCKING USING IT.

Jesus H belemy christ with knobs on.

Because I want it managed on Steam along with my other managed games, saves me lugging around discs Plus it also sends crash dumps to the developer, and I get updates pretty much automatically which saves me hunting around fileplanet or FTPs.

The game is managed on STEAM, go check the Steam store.

Well I personally get more from Steam than bloat, but thanks for playing. Perhaps Steam doesnt suit you, but it suits me nicely thank you. As with anything, nobody is forcing you to use their service, so why do you complain rant and whinge about something you dont obviously use?

I always have an internet connection (free for me btw ). Without the internet a computer to me is pretty much as useful as a brick.

I always do buy on discount at www.play.com

I never buy pre release or full price. EVER. And as for Steam, I am always sending them mails questoning their prices backing it up by cheaper prices, the more people do and the more resistance they get, the more they will have to adapt. I am currently at a stand off with Steam over Painkiller, I have the retail edition, I want to manage it on Steam, they wont activate retail editions ( as per publisher request I imagine ) so I now am challenging them and the publisher why I wont pay the full 19.99 USD for the steam managed one when I have the reatil already, I said I will pay a good will fee but not the full wack for the Steam version), 5 bucks maybe Im still waiting feedback on that one but the point is, CHALLENGE THEM. YOU ARE IN CONTROL, its YOUR money, THEY want it. They have to jump.

By that time the retards have bought the game, paid the tax, ironed out the bugs and so on

Just mail the CEO of the 1) developer and 2) publisher explaining why company X got YOUR money and WHY and to stop taking you for granted. But be constructive, when faced with arguments, be prepared to supply alternative suggestions. This keep the ball firmly in their court of the play. Its up to them.

Remember, its YOUR money, and THEY want it. Its up to them to jump through the hoops, not you jumping through their hoops.

Anyway, if only everybody never paid for a game once its released, they would stop taking you for granted. You will 1) get a message across, and 2) get it on discount.

Win win for YOU in so many ways.

Nothing will change if you continue to slup it up from them wholesale. Be a man and stand up.

Limited editions and box sets are a rip off. Almost as "classy" as the ring tone rip off.

Same for hardware, as soon as you stick "Gaming" on the boxart, its upped in price. Usually its more flimsey too.

Just release it already (I could mention Steam but hey we know where that leads the therad - ducks)

Farcry engine kicks ass, the visibility and environment is great, can somebody make a Tribes2 mod for it and or Crysis?

I hope Enemy Territory has "toon" graphics, for that FUN element - runs and hides form the anal retard mob.

If you dont like the artwork you can do one of three things.

1) dont buy it and get on withy our life, childish artwork? uhh hello its a GAME.

2) do your own artwork and release a mod

3) play it with your eyes closed

They want this to be a FUN game not an anal retentive nitpicked game.

They want each class to be very UNIQUE, not just slightly varied.

Its great, reminds me of The Incredables movie, great job on the artwork whoever done it. It makes the game more FUN, only an anal retentive asshole that makes games his LIFE and never goes outside takes it way to seriously.

The artwork sets the mood (of FUN but ofcourse your going to get the asshats in game taking it way to seriously and kicking you for having FUN), check the videos, they rock!

"undisclosed, graphics details"

Why dont they just tell us? I like to know what im buying and yes I will buy it. All this fan fair over oh tee hee we arnt going to tell you we are actually going to spawn more threads to have real concurrency to handle more effects, big deal. Theyre dressing up air.

Considering multi core / proc machines are available to all consumers now, single proc / core is dead and pretty much end of stock lines.

you could see an in-game message like "Hey, you've never played your class as well as today - keep it up!"

Great, can we disable this crap? Can we have control over players to ignore? Delayed spam is spam.

I hope we can turn off the text window, because it is just a spamertisement pane.

"hether this feature makes it into the final game is still uncertain and depends on Sony and Microsoft. "

It seems Valve can no longer think for themselves these days.

"* Owners of multicore processors will get additional, undisclosed, graphics details."

Ok, then why should I buy it?

Hey we have steam arguments going because we know online deployment is the future *wink wink* As for the thieves, well, theyre just tight gits.

And now back to the game

Btw the ACCOUNT issue for a global standard for online deployment / management / purchase wont be a problem with the standard Open ID Anyway for online internet play you are tied to their log in servers anyway today. Whats wrong with tying that to your email? You dont need to store your CC details enter them every time unless you are a lazy cunt.
