Well their job isn't done. You don't take a vacation days starting game one of the world series.

It's not all wide screens not working, mine works fine. I just have audio issues.

Parallax Abstraction is right. Find me one PC game that didn't have some issues when launched. I mean, I understand there will be problems and I've had problems with many games I've bought on launch day. It's not that big of a deal, I can wait a week or so to play the game if the sound crackle bother me that much. It always kinda cracks me up how people say "they didn't test the game" or "this and that and my butt smells funny" on launch day. Games always have problems for some people, this is why there are patches. Just relax, it will all get fixed.

What is inexcusable is that guy from 2k saying people are on vacation. Give the guys some days off before launch, not on launch day. That's just bad management. You know damn well problems will come up and its best to have as many people as possible in the offices to fix problems asap or risk backlash.

Well, I don't have any widescreen problems, but my sound is all messed up. Very choppy and crackly. Searching the 2k forums revealed I'm not the only Audigy owner with this problem and no real fix is posted that I could find.

As far as Steam issues, you should have seen the brick and mortar issues I had today. First two stores didn't have it and didn't even get it today (including Best Buy). Circuit City did have it, but I couldn't get anyone to take my money at the register after ten minutes so I yelled an obscenity, chucked the game on the ground, and walked out. 4th store didn't have it but I finally got it at the 5th friggin store I hit tonight.

I live right by Crestwood which features that fabulous sign. FYI, people there don't pay property tax because of an OTB, it's mostly condo's and apt's, and really, it's just kind of trashy. Way to help keep that perception of the south burbs of Chicago in tact!

This is just stupid. So if I see someone glitching to win and bring it up so that person can be kicked, then I run the risk of being banned. I haven't played BF in over a month since I hit General and kind of lost interest, but this change really makes me question whether I'll buy another BF game. Hell, I've bought every one and expansion/booster the week they came out starting with BF1942 and loved the games. Guess I'll just keep waiting for TF2 and might as well uninstall all the BF games on my hard drive now.

That Chef has no case. I've worked in restaurants for years and the thing is, you can't copyright food. There are so many knock off restaurants in this country but really, all these places order their stuff from the same suppliers, if someone wants to make their place look like yours there is nothing you can do about it. I ran a place in Portland that was a knock off of a place in San Franciso. When I moved back to Chicago I found another knock off of both restaurants. Unless there are logos or a copyrighted name being stolen, there's no case.

I played one round today, all I had time for earlier. Overall, I'm not liking the feel of the game. I'll definitely give it some more time and try to figure out exactly what's going on, but it just didn't grab me. As was said before, it doesn't feel Quake-ish enough for me and compared to BF it's just goofy. I'm a BF freak though, so take that into account.

I've got to say, I'm glad they showed the video. Just like anything on TV, you have the choice not to watch it and change the channel. As citizens of the world, we need to see this shit. We need the opportunity to see any and all video taken. That is what is so good about the internet. Not only can you see the videos featuring opinions of joe shmoe who thinks this and that, you can see the thoughts of some insane person. Maybe seeing that video will snap someone into not doing something along the lines of the VT massacre. The last thing I want is censorship in any form. If you are worried about kids seeing it, that's the parents responsibility.

I picked up the PSP version. It's not bad and definately improved over last years PSP version. Gonna wait and see if more of my friends that need whooopins pick up the PS2 or Xbox version before I buy a console version. Unfortunately there is no fantasy draft in 07 which is sure to piss off alot of Madden freaks I know.

All I know is it looks great. Yeah, no gameplay, big deal. It's a teaser and you can officially color me teased. The style is great and hasn't been done in a class based game yet that I know of. Hate on it all you want, that just means less jackass whiners playing the game when it comes out.

I love that pic and I can't wait for this to be released. Naysayers be damned!

Yeah, I'm afraid to admit I am giving up on this game. This 1.3 patch has been one of the worst I've ever seen for any game. Just as others have said, my performance has gone to shit and I get frequent crashes to the desktop. The changes in gameplay have also hurt this game ALOT. I let it go when they took out bunny hopping and 'dolphin diving' (lamest name ever) for people that can't shoot a moving target. I let it go when they kept changing the power of guns with each patch. Now the spawning on squads shit is just too much. What's next?

I won't be buying Armored Fury and if Quake Wars is as good as I hope I'll be passing on 2142. I'm joining the "F U DICE" group finally, I've defended this game for too long only to be shit on by its makers.

I'm loving this game. HL was my first foray into the world of PC FPS games. HL2 was the best single player FPS I had played since Star Trek: Elite Force and so far HL2:E1 has been great. I'm just starting the 3rd chapter and have probably played about 2 or 2.5 hours so far. I don't like rushing through games that look as good as HL2 and have been taking my time exploring this one.

HAHAHA! This is the worst patch I've ever installed for any game. It has MESSED UP more things in my game than any other patch for any other game I've ever played.

You most certainly can find good places to play. I stick to the 64 player servers and 50% of the time I hook up with a good squad that plays as a team and wants to have fun. Just like any game you are always going to run into some ass clowns. I don't know how stable it is with this new patch yet, but the game is good enough that the little things don't bother me.

Pretty much all I use are Verbatims and they are always on sale at Micro Center. Never really had any problems with them.
