Gee an MMO based on Starcraft, what a suprise.

People always seem to enjoy what they pay more for, so let the idiots enjoy...

I doubt it will be the only MMO announced by Blizzard there.

@Tumbler "95%?!
IGN gave this game a 6.0.
Who gave this game 95%? Maybe I'm sounding paranoid but a comment like that about a game based on a movie needs serious backing as far as details and specifics.
I'd go so far as to say you were posting this in hopes that fans of this site would rush out and buy this crap game...where do you work oh wise one?"

Umm Ok ;p
This is the only one I saw when I posted - http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/launchreview.asp?reviewid=775138

Looks like I am going to pass. Another game trying to fit into too many platforms rather than getting the proper polish. Potential with missed opportunities is what I am gathering.

Apple...most overpriced computers = most money to put in pocket.

Man am I glad their is no such mfr monopoly on the PC side, computers would be 2 or 3 times as much.

Damn good timing on this game.

Anyway, I saw a 95% for the 360 version review...

Has anyone seen a PC review or know of any differences(I don't expect any diff).
I'm always curious how a heavily console influenced title plays on PC.

"And the potheads come out of the woodwork...."

Funny thing is I haven't had it in years. And anything beyond just occasional, for far far longer.

Not everyone who denies the idiocy of continued anti-marijuana movement is a pot head :). I'm much more concerned of the of what is branded as legitimate pharmaceuticals and it's effects on humanity as a whole. All those drug commercials aren't there to help you, that is for damn sure.

"Again, it's research done by anti-drug groups, the same groups that tried to make everyone believe after 911 that smoking pot funds terrorism."

That is evident and will be utilized by them for their continued efforts to give the medical companies, the legit drug mafias, money and power (here take this anti-depression drug, side effects are only occasional heart attack and suicide ). This continued "research" that is flawed from obvious unobjective research will continually be scoffed at. How could any rational individual accept it when it is obviously so one sided.

"After all the biggest side effect of smoking pot is getting the munchies and wanting to sit on your butt and watch some comedy TV."

No doubt, moderation and a quality Sativa is the key there ;). All the indica hybrids for their massive weight/plant ratio have produced alot more couch potatoes. Then again, plenty of idiots out there are still lazy idiots with or without pot.

Bottle of vodka a day, that still has me laughing my ass off.

"Cannabis 'disrupts brain centre'"

huh what?

"it is estimated that as many as 500,000 people in the UK may be dependent on cannabis."

I need a fix.

"Professor Murray also warned that the high potency cannabis now widely available was likely to pose a much bigger risk...Murray - "It is similar to comparing the effect of drinking a glass of wine at the weekend with drinking a bottle of vodka every day.""

LMAO, Professor needs to go back to school.

And this is important and news worthy why???
Gee a game developer hiring, say it isn't so...

If they didn't have multiple unannounced projects, now that would be news worthy, because they would be soon closing doors.

It's funny as hell that Blizzard can get peoples panties all high and tight by just stating "we have nothing to announce". LOL

Why do people keep asking about unified drivers, it's common sense.
First off, do all XP users want to have to download Vista DX10 drivers?
Furthermore do all non-8x00 series cards running on Vista need to download DX10 compatible drivers?

It's a waste of bandwidth and waste of space.
Obviously the binaries and installers have to be different.
Maybe one day soon there will be a 70 - 100MB+ driver download for all those longing for a unified driver/installer again.

I would not want to be a driver writer for Nvidia that is for damn sure. They have to routinely pump out so many code paths for so many products, for so many platforms (MAC, Linux, windows, Dx10, etc.) routinely that it has to be friggin crazy. Not to mention track fixes and optimizations.

Yeah it's up... until 360 and PS3 gets a bigger foothold and all the PC devs start making games that fit within the framework of consoles.

hmmm... Sims and Civ dev combo. Sounds kinda scarry. But yeah, it is far to late for him to to make a big impact on the outcome of Spore shipping, atleast if everything is going as it should with development, he shouldn't be able to provide too much at this stage.

I think Spore will be cool but not fun. I think it is targeting brokeback gamers and chicks (you know the sims players).

I'm actually forecasting Spore as one of the biggest let down titles of 2007/08. I think the actual "gameplay" will be what is missing, while the concept is excellent, I doubt i will have a desire to play an uncompelling game. Any tacking on of missions or scenarioas at this stage would be ab after thought and will very likely feel just like being tacked on.

incrysys.com needs some more bandwith or a better server backend. I can't reach the site currently, also the other day the mirrors for downloads were totally pooched.

They have been really struggling to keep up with the demand, which is understandable. But they are likely the premiere site for crysis, so i hope the get some new sponsies and hopefully some ads show up so they can get some revenue to make some changes.

When StarCraft2 does come out, you can bet your savings it will be very close to the same as the first one. The recipe will be a duplicate as much as possible, expect it.

And to think there are plenty of fools that thought LIVE for PC was a good idea ... schmucks.
It's prolly cause daddy still pays their bills. people are still so easily con'd in this day and age.

Screw Microsoft for trying to make PC gaming a pay to play environment. Also screw the idiots that are proponents of the PC Live service, maybe you like bending over for a broom handle, but no thanks.

Glad there is a developer that can talk freely without fear of MS or publisher reprisal. Hail Epic.

The state of Ageia = Dead, just hasn't been buried yet.
So far it has been alot of marketing and that is all it will really be. The tech may survive if AMD or Nvidia eat it up but that is about it.

This looks really sweet.
Freespace was great, we really need a cool space sim, and Battlestar Galatica is a pretty awesome show.

The site is pretty slammed right now.
Downloading now.
