I would think since the state is bankrupt that they might have bigger fish to fry than video games, especially since so many game studios are in CA. Does CA really need less business revenue to squander?
I'd love to see games like the old Black Isle games make a comback. The original Fallout and Planescape: Torment were incredible, CHALLENGING, deep and FUN!
No, it's "new" in the sense SOE is trying to pass off the same scenes they showed a year ago, but in a different order, as "new". This same video has popped up on a few other sites and touted as "new".
I hope for an Ultima Online 2, using the same core ideas from the original release - skill based, open/sand box world - but with all the modern capabilities of a 3d virtual world. I think there's room for that in the MMORPG genre.
