Call me untrusting but this seems a tad unreallistic.
The page for GTA IV made me laugh though - apparently other top games in the same genre as GTA IV include "Burger Shop" and "Cake Mania"!
Can we get some idiot with too much money to buy a AoC license from them and see if Funcom will allow the key?
Also don't these http://gamestore.phantom.net/catalog/reviews all have a "made in 30 seconds be a not very imaginative 5 year old" feel to them?

hmm homestly I think I'll let them test it on Europe and America first then buy it here, if the review scores are good enough, in Feburary. Don't know why just have a very bad feeling about this one.
Interesting idea though - import the German one now. Why not wait 2 days and import the US one? Considering PCs are region free and our exchange rate means it would be cheaper from the US it's a strange idea as well |

Surely with no demo avaliable a lot more people will pirate it just to see how it is.
I rented it it a couple of days and have very nearly finished it - it's ridiculously easy and repetitive with little or no replay value as far as I can see.
There's no way I'd pay for this but of course Ubi will claim the bad sales are down to piracy not awfull word of mouth.
It is pretty though |

Wow derek you really are a sad little wanker aren't you. I'm the only person who bothered to give any kind of actually critisism of your "game" and all you can do is continually take a level that I would reprimand my 6 year old for using.
Your so called games, whether you choose to admit it or not, are the laughing stock of the PC gaming world but anybody who bothers to try to engage you in discussion is only giving torrents of abuse.
You are neither worthy of my time or contempt you pathetic little man.
OH FYI your typing in English so "mum" is the correct spelling. |

Those of you with questions and/or constructive criticisms, fire away and I'll answer them as I always do and in a detailed fashion. Unless of course he decides he doesn't like the criticisms in which case he'll insult you and once again assume he knows things about you.
Funnily enough last time you insulted me Derek you said I was living in my mum's basement - I did point out at the time it was kinda bad timing as she'd been dead less then a month. Strangely you didn't show your face in that thread again.
BTW when you announce the video contains the final Terrain engine but parts of the terrain still look playstation 1 standard it's a bit strange to then claim it's because it's alpha.

Bastards didn't put any of the adventure/werehog sections in so now my 6 year old really wants this.
Talk about cherry picking from the 1/3 of the game which is passable. |

OK realistically the cockpit textures are amazingly low res - check the orange blobs on the upper struts for details.
The smoke, fire and explosion effects are not much beyond Afterburner quality.
The ground installation which shows up around 5 mins in again seems to be very low poly count and with very low textures. The water is too shiny and uniform.
The view distance throughout is way too low - having a nice bright sun whilst there's only a mile or two of visibility just doesn't go.
The trails behind the ship stay way too uniform instead of spreading and dissipating as they should.
The heat haze effect on the ships engines is seriously overdone. As for the guy who gets out - he again is too stiff and linear (low poly count) with poor texturing. In fact he really reminded me of Anarchy Online.
So all in all; Derek? 2002 called they want their engine back. Oh but honestly grats on reaching the same millenia as the rest of us.

aaaaand it's already cracked and out on torrent. Nah it's really not - looks like they've beaten the so called "0-day" piracy again.
Now everyone will bitch it doesn't perform well enough on their PC or that they can't demo it and will scream they won't buy it because of that.
Hmm, guess that's another thing I don't miss - spending more time tweaking games then playing them. Guess consoles do have a good side (I still feel dirty for buying one though). |

FUCK THAT!
WAY to much crap to install & online DRM, torrent's here I come! God your bright - comments like that all over the net will really make publishers want to put games onto the PC.
If you must do that kinda thing keep it to yourself yeah? |

Seriously do not see what peoples problems are with this kinda thing - in fact I'm not even sure I've ever heard anybody I could actually name/trust having securerom cause them problems. Yeah alright starforce was pretty nasty but the industry seems to have learnt from that.
If your really that fussed just wait a year until they disable they DRM as they have done with bioshock etc. You've already waited 9 months - I doubt another year would hurt.
Personally I gave up after the latest delay and swallowed my pride and bought a X-Box - yeah I'd prefer to use a keyboard and mouse at times but I'd also rather not wait a further 6-9 months for some games.
Oh and rock band with my wife and two of my kids is hilarious. 8 year old girls singing iron maiden FTW!
OOPS nearly forgot - I have to put in a disc when I want to play GTA IV and I do believe it's even been known to call home now and then - but I'd rather have fun then think there some mass conspiracy to steal my data and spy on my every move online whilst plotting to blow up my PC. |

As I don't agree with WWII shooters on moral terms I haven't played a gearbox game since 007:Nightfire but I LOVED nightfire, opposing force and blue shift.
I can only hope this means they have cancelled Halo 4, any future WWII shooters and all further crappy console to pc conversions they were working on.
Ultimataly Gearbox's originals have been good but the cross-platform and especially the latent PC conversions have sucked major donkey balls. |

Oh found one - soul calibur IV is rated 16+ in europe and 12 in the UK.
Given that "The dark knight" was also a 12 I'm pretty certain the BBFC is right on this one! |

Yeah, as soon as you grow old enough to move out of your mom's basement and actually cash in your food stamps and get a bank account, you'll understand the financial mechanics of game development. Just because you don't like my games - or me - is largely inconsequential. So, yeah, go cry to my bank account because I have nothing better to do with my time than to put resources behind a game that nobody is buying or playing. Yah. Erm actually Derek my mum died of cancer 1 month and 8 days ago at the age of 57 (yes I'm 34 and yes she had me and my sister young). Either way given that A) she's dead and B) she never had a basement in her short life exactly how superior do you feel now? |

The only way that would work is as a single player game possibly with some multiplayer components. The trouble with Eve single player would be the simple fact they would have to completly invent it from scratch - they'd have the universe and that's all. The simple fact is, as the Eve missions show, Eve is neither hard nor engaging against NPCs.
If their building an entire game from the ground up why not a FPS or RTS? People buy them just from screenshots where as space sims have to compete for a very niche market.
As for "an MMO space shooter/trader" - erm that would be Eve then yeah? |
