Well, given the big mess that is MW2's story, they sure are not going to miss those.

They must all be 13 or something like that, if 5 guys couldn't get their act together to give a minimum sense to a 6 hours SP game.

Well if activision forced IW to release a game that wasnt ready, stuff had to be cut from the script to make it out on time, we know IW only had 2 years to make their games, despite how they might have needed more.

Even if the single terran campaign is 20 hours in length? Still you might get to control other races during the campaign, you generally always do in blizzard RTS games.

Part of my enjoyment from blizzard games is the story, a 20 hour sp game with a good story sounds fine with me.

if i get 10-15 hour expansions with good stories afterward. even better.

It has more to do with the fact that I don't really care about MP, and I get one race worth of SP campaign. For 10 bucks more than I paid for SC, which gave me 3 races worth of SP campaigns. (and before everyone starts bleating again that SC was 60 bucks too, it cost 50 bucks in Holland where I bought it. My hat is black; your argument is invalid.)

And the fact that they chose the race that probably the fewest people care about in SP.

Hey, if you want to pay 60 bucks for it, and other games, go right ahead. I like the 50 dollar price point, and it's got to be a rare game with a TON of content before I'll go over it. (Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 come to mind.)

From what they've said, is that the Terran campaign is about as long as the all 3 campaigns in the original

The case as i remember it, was when Activision merged with Blizzard, they let go a number of games they werent gonna publish, Brutal Legend was one of them.

Double Fine shopped for a new publisher and EA picked them up.

the prices of games are my main concern, i buy on weekend deals, like World of Goo or L4D.

But a game like Empire Total War is 20$ more for me on steam, than if i bought the boxed version

Quake 4 and Doom 3

Calling either rubbish is an exageration IMO. Quake 4 was mediocre at best but i found it mildly entertaining.

I loved Doom 3, there was nothing in the game that dissapointed me, excellent graphics and sound, nice story for an id game.

Besides id and ravensoft has less money than Blizzard, thats for sure.

D-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t t-e-a-m-s.
Plus yes, WC3 wasn't anything new or memorable and World of Warcraft is a bloated pile of horse dung, as are all MMORPGs. I'm sorry, have they made any other games since?
You must be a retard. Saying WoW is bad is the same as saying Tetris was bad if you dont like Puzzle games, or saying super mario 64 is bad if you dont like platformers.
WC3 had nice balanced gameplay, a really great campaign with a great story.

Yes, because money = gaming quality. That's why Doom 3 and Quake 4 were such mind-bogglingly awesome games.

Since we established that WoW and WC3 are great titles, then we can see that they can make great games, and money in the bank makes it easier.

And somehow you failed to comment on no monsters meaning that people had already been there.

Blizzard has yet to dissapoint, Bill Roper and his team has done nothing but.

Guild Wars is okay, but it doesnt have a chance against WoW and Diablo

Ok, so all the main brains behind Diablo and Diablo 2 left, yet somehow people have the same expectations for this?

Hey, if Ringo Starr recruited 3 random guys and put out a new Beatles album, would you guys start running around going "The Beatles always put so much polish on their albums, and look, I mean, Wings sucked, so obviously Paul McCartney had nothing to do with the Beatles success!"

Its clear it wasnt the talent that left, since all they've done is make bad games.

Blizzard has the money to make the title as good as it has to be, if they arent satisfied it wont get released, simple as that.

Plus, quite frankly, I expect much more linear levels. As others have mentioned, the bodies disappear. They did not in Diablo, which was pretty crucial - if you came to a bunch of dead bodies, you knew you'd been there before. Or your buddy had been, if you split up. No more of that now. Yes, there's still the automap, but I always found the piles of dead bodies more useful (and creepy. Remember wandering into a co-op game people had been playing for a long while and trying to run and catch them? Seeing all the dead bodies and not sure if the next turn would have your friend or have enemies he made it by without killing?)

Im glad you played the final build! In anycase, its safe to assume, of there are no monsters, you friends have already been there.

He has a point. Were this not called Diablo 3, I doubt most people would care about it.

No!

If it was called any name it would get this attention, because Blizzard is the only developer ever to never misstep and always release quality.

Any game Blizzard makes is pure gold simply because of the polish they give it

I don't trust Diablo 3 entirely because the team that made Diablo Diablo is gone.

Most of the guys from North are working at Blizzard, with the exception of some of the bosses who formed Flagship.

I go like once a month, and i can sit through the commercials, its not a good time, but i can read something while i wait, or maybe talk to the person im in the theater with.

As for commercials in games, as long as its tasteful product placement im all fore it. I could use a futuristic Glock in the next doom game!

I Just love how Sony keeps shooting themselves in the foot, they fail to realize that the option of stable online gaming is the future of games. If they dont get their "act" together, MS will eat them alive.
