This is actually the sequel to the sequel they've been working on lately. There are many enhancements in this game, as you would expect from a game making the revolutionary industry-first leap of 19530 game years since its predecessor.

Of course, the best enhancements come out of the wars of 11530 and 19001.

The gameplay is a bit dull, though, as the main character/hero unit is a transcend who can warp space/time with a mere thought. He's managed to bring back Earth after its destruction by gravitational forces and reposition it in its proper orbit around Sol. However, as the game begins, the main character is feeling a bit ill after some bad mexican food at El Burrito Loco. Time is running out and your race must escape to the moon (again) in order to survive!

Totally in agreement. That sucked. I only found out that the discs were labeled incorrectly after I was poking around and noticed there was nothing on the "play" disc but the CAB file.

D'oh. I also got a french tree.

New Control Method
Holding TAB will bring up the new Task Manager
Icons are clicked instead of drawing gestures
Keyboard shortcuts added for all important actions

They should just change the game to start up and say "ARE YOU AN IDIOT? YES/NO"

Now this game has next to no originality... the graphics exempted, which weren't necessarily even an intentional "innovation" but a way that the team was able to use its lack of graphics expertise to its advantage.

That being said, great game.

Both excellent games btw.

why even have a "veteran air defense" medal if one of the prerequisites is 250 global hours in a stinger? That should be the "veteran get a life" medal at that point.

I think you're missing the point. It's not that the awards are all meant to be had... the awards, especially those of higher distinction, are just that... awards designed to be given to those who have a particularly strong presence in a given role. It's not the character that earns the medals, it's the medals that are supposed to reflect upon what the character is and does. Frankly, if you're spending inordinate amounts of time going out of your way to earn medals, I'd think you'd be having less fun than just playing at your own style, which leads me to my conclusion:

It's like a portfolio, not a "collect 'em all!"

I think the game is frikkin amazing. It's one of the best games I've played this year. Sure, the missions require retries sometimes, but challenge is golden especially in the face of what today's games have to offer. This game does require some thinking and BOTH strategy & tactics.

Definitely worth the buy. Multiplayer isn't good for anything though... nobody seems to play. Good story, good voiceovers, great graphics, impressive "realism."

Firstly, TotalGaming.net is amazing.

Secondly, "NO DRM"? I suppose not. It's still not really possible to transfer the games/apps to other computers. Stardock Central, the distribution app, handles access rights.

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a "DRM" electronic games distribution system. Can anyone give an example?

Regardless of whatever you say, it's clear that the job of game ratings is to protect children from accessing inappropriate material.

Yes, you have to do some work to see the material. The fact that it IS ACCESSIBLE AT ALL means that there is a RISK OF CHILDREN SEEING IT which means that the RATING IS INAPPROPRIATE.

How hard is that to understand?

Awesome! Now we can have that content that they put into the previews and then yoinked before the game release so they could scrape more money out of us!

>Why is everyone blaming EA?
>DICE coded and put the patch out...

Well bonehead, EA is being blamed because it's THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to run Quality Assurance testing on anything that goes out.
