What a shame, I was really hoping that 40k MMO would see the light of day.

I think the game is great, but I don't understand why it uses both Steam AND GFWL. They totally are redundant, and Steam is far superior. Why couldn't they just ditch GFWL?

So they released 3 new dungeons? Great, each AoC subscriber now gets their very own dungeon!

Cryptic, please stop concetrating so much on character design and make GAMEPLAY FUN.

The game only works for me ONCE right after installation. After I exit and try to reload, I just get a black screen and have to force-exit out. If I uninstall and reinstall the game works fine for that first time, but that happens every time I try to play it.

A fun game for sure, especially for just a one-man-band kinda thing. The seamless space-to-planetary flight transition is amazing. If this guy got support from a major studio, he could do some amazing things.

While at first I wasn't a fan of Tribes 2 because they originally nerfed skiing, I was happy when they released the Classic mod which made it more like the original.

Some of these deals are great... $4.99 for Bioshock? I know it's a year old, but still very well worth the price!

Spore didn't need DRM top stop me from installing the game multiple times... after one playthrough I uninstalled and will never put it back on my PC again.

I was in BETA and I played a bit of retail on a friend's account because he wanted me to join him (but ultimately I did not purchase for myself). I've played it plenty. While I'm not a 'fanboy' of anything, I do play WoW and it is a better game by far.

Better how? Because it's more polished? Yes, WoW does have a great PvE game but their PvP system is rubbish. Arena dominates everything, and if you don't have the right gear you're fucked. There is no class balance, and the entire endgame consists of trying to get gear, NOT having fun. This is extremely evident when players intentionally lose battlegrounds to get marks or in AV when they literally run right by each other in the "race" to beat the map.

The developers discourage world PvP, insofar that anytime you attack a town you get jumped by a bajillion elite guards that give you no hope of doing anything. The game is nothing but a grind to get the best gear and that's it. PvP is an afterthought for it, and a really bad afterthought at that.

Primarily because I don't care for Mark Jacobs and secondarily to get a rise out of the people who actually like the game (thank you!).

Judging by your post history, you seem to bash WAR any chance you get... not really sure why. Maybe it raped your sister or something or maybe you're just a WoW fanboy, but I'm not sure why you have all the WAR hate. Have you even tried the game?

Say what you will, but I think this game is great, albeit for some issues that can be corrected. The PvP in this game is phenomenal, and the classes are the absolute most balanced I've ever seen in an MMO. A fight between two classes can literally go on for 15 minutes if they can both heal. With the two new classes, the game gets even better.

Yes the game has its downfalls, but I find it far more intriguing and more fun that WoW ever was. I bought WoTLK and so far haven't even made it to level 71 yet because although it looks pretty, it's still the same old game we've been playing.

WAR is different - even WoW got scared when it was first released when their devs announced they were going to "get back to the base of their game" and make it about Alliance vs. Horde, which is of course BS and was just said to get WAR people to come back.

Of course WAR has taken a hit with WotLK, but we're already seeing people come back and the game really does keep getting better.

With the way some of the servers are looking, I don't know if they'll be any PLAYERS left in the spring to read this thing.

It had better be the Slayer... the Order needs a crazy class like that.

So I finally got all patched (wow that was a big one!) and I love the new login menu. My server is borked so I just created a trash character on another one... love Stormwind harbor and the new dynamic shadow system is great (and really doesn't slow down my system unless there are DOZENS of players on the screen at once). The player models look a little worse for wear after playing Warhammer, but it runs smooth as butter.

I don't understand why Warhammer released before WotLK. They should have delayed another few months or so, polished up their game and finished the cut classes, then released after the WotLK buzz has died a bit.
