His one-sentence argument was far more coherent and valid than your failed analogy which introduces so many irrelevant side issues that, well, it fails. No need to get upset over that.
I did not tell him to quit (and he already did, if you ould read down). I stated that he has the option of leaving if he is so truely dissatisified with the state of the game. It can be infered from his comment that the quality of the game has not improved over quite some time after multiple patches and that he is fed up with it and feels he has exhausted all options.
He is perfectly free to leave the game without incurring any negative consequences. It's obvious he wasn't having fun as is, so he's obviously not losing out on the chance to have fun.
As a citizen, leaving a country (as in, renouncing citizenship) has numerous consequences and repurcussions. Not in any way comparable to not paying to play a game anymore. Sorry. Just doesn't fit. Your strawman is up in smoke.
If you don't like something, do you just sit there and complain about it even though it doesn't change? Seems like a rather stupid way to go through life
I stopped playing, but only because the developers dont know what the fuck to do with the Shaman class (my main).
There I am, standing in SSC.. healing.. but I am a DPS hybrid..
I healed from MC-Naxx.. but i'm supposed to be the DPS hybrid.
Er, no. Not comparable at all.
As a citizen of a democratic republic you are afforded certain rights (voting, for example, with a handful of exceptions) that let you put in your say as to how the country is run.
As a paying customer of World of Warcraft you only have as much say as Blizzard is willing to listen to. You can vote with your dollar, and if they're nice, they'll listen to message board feedback. But really, if you don't like something you've volunteered to pay for. Um. Stop paying for it.
Last I checked, no one is forcing you to play.
Theres a bit about it from those that got the axe here...

I just don't know if SOE can resurrect this game.
So my guess is they are releasing Warcraft 1 and 2 for free, or updated with Warcraft 3's engine *shrugs*
Well I was hoping it would be a Starcraft 2 announcement as most others. But, why would they show the other franchises as well if they were zeroing in on Starcraft 2? I'm thinking they are announcing a completely new franchise. They showing how their 3 franchises have evolved throughout the years, and now in 2007 they are ready for a new one. Who knows.
Only semi-modern MMO that has every come out would be Matrix Online, and that didn't exactly win people over.
Interesting logic. So you can only criticize a crappy game if you spend money on it? That's news to me. Last time I checked, you only needed to play the game.

In case you want to know what the new game is.
Some of us 'elitist gaming snobs' are tired of being sold dumbed-downed streamlined crap shoveled into out mouths like it's the second coming, when it's really mediocre crap that we already played over a decade ago dressed up in a new shiny set of clothes.
Dumb-assed uninformed, uneducated knee-jacked little pissants like you that are too young to know better telling us what a good game is doesn't go over too well.
But, if you enjoyed Oblivion because you don't know any better, or you just liked it because you thought it was fun, then that's fine. Some of us expect more. Maybe I'm old and you're just stupid, but I want more.
You might be willing to settle for kids bits because you don't know any better, but some of us don't and won't. That's why we bitch and you can't.
