Considering that VII was so successful it seems likely that they are putting more into getting VIII as good as possible...

And the Atari 800 floppy drive had a section it could read but not write. So people would produce floppies and read unlock permission from that section, but people couldn't copy and create a new floppy that way. Unless you had an off-brand floppy drive, that is.

I always wanted one of those Percom drives. That said the 1050's were built very well and a great many of them still work to this day.

That's GOOD news for everyone. Hyperion comes off as a bunch of stingy control freaks in that statement. Their fears are going to become self fulfilling prophecy if they view things that way.

For those of you that are still having some issues with your game, rest assured that we’re working on optimisations, bug fixes, performance enhancements and improvements, and we’ll continue to roll these out as soon as they’re ready, with the next patch expected later in the month. We’re doing everything we can to get to the bottom of all the issues that are reported to us.

What about an FOV slider? It's 2016 and still no way to take our blinders off?! Playing the game on a PC monitor is not fun at this console fov.

We were just getting used to the fail and starting to like 8.1, so they decided to throw us a whole new level of absurdity that is 10. All hail the surveilance state and big brothr.

it is also difficult for me to understand why game companies even bother to pay for OS X/Linux ports of their games, or why OS X/Linux "gamers" (I feel those are oxymorons) are willing to wait months and years on second-rate game ports that often never come at all.

It seems to me that publishers and developers view it as a longer term investment and as a protest against Windows control of the marketplace. It also keeps a healthy fear in MS that they can't strong arm the industry without consequences. Choice is freedom.

Tax laws encourage and reward this behavior. I don't blame them for utilizing the system. What incentive is there for them to fork out many billions of dollars when they don't have to?

However the allegations that they use forced child labor is far and above. Is that just 'human rights crap'?

You don't get it. As you are falling off the cliff, advertisers can use that information and flash lawyer ads in your face before and after you hit the bottom.

No, long sentences would not act as a deterrent. Do long prison sentences stop the narcotic trade? No. Do speeding laws stop people from speeding? No. Do anti-piracy laws stop people from pirating? No. Kids who do this sort of thing don't understand the consequences and/or think they won't get caught no matter what they do.

We also have laws and rights in theory to protect us from unreasonable punishment. A civilized society has such rights to protect us all. 20 years in hardcore prison doesn't fit this sort of crime. Personal desire for revenge doesn't make society a better place. Prisons often make people worse, not better.

The real problem is the militarized police. They should not be breaking into homes as they are.

F4: what a very sad patch log. In three weeks a team of 100 people cranked this out. NOT. Bethesda, Bethesda never changes.

You do realize that animators, riggers, vfx artists, sound designers, level designers, gameplay designers, environmental artists and character artists have nothing to do with fixing technical bugs, right?

It doesn't look like even the work of one person full time.

It would be so nice to just get everything needed for a mod by clicking on it. Just install and go. NEXUS MM is close but still not the ticket...yet.

I can't imagine that working easily with something like Skyrim where everything's like - Ok, Mod A Needs the Unofficial Patch, but Mod B isn't compatible with it without this other compatibility mod, but the unofficial path just got updated and breaks the compatibility mod until IT gets updated, oh btw have you cleaned your Mod C for known dirty edits?

@.@

It's good for ArmA though, a lot of mods depend on the community base addons mod.

Yes that's called 'dependency hell' and that's from what Linux users suffer.

Of all the possible ways we are being ripped off, this is among the most insignificant. At least you have a choice in the matter. Exercise your freedom to be an informed consumer. That's your responsibility as a human being.

Now please go investigate what international finance industry and other globalist corporations partnered with governments are ripping us all of every day. Then when you find out what's going on, you are justified to be irate. But a fucking steam sale scam gets you fumed? Really?

It's an accurate assessment, too. Egos love drama. Drama in video games, drama in war, drama in school, drama on TV, drama at work...

The thrill and excitement of bashing people's doors down and holding them at gunpoint is extremely tempting to certain personality types.

Same. The beginning of the game fails to connect the player to the main 'finding son' quest. I'm sure many players who want a story to connect with will put the game down early. That said, it is a fun open world P.A. game.
